So marissadawolf1080 (the crazed rhcp fan who harasses anybody who dares make a joke about them or likes a band who they don’t like) got a new account and decided to let me know even tho we only ever had one interaction when I called them out on insulting a teenager for liking Axl Rose😭 And I didn’t even keep the post up. I deleted it within an hour💀

And they blocked me right after sending this message so what’s the fucking point on even sending me this? Am I really living that rent free in their head? Do they not see how fucking insane they’re acting?

I don’t even know why they’re acting like this. I never said I hate RHCP. I love that band. I just don’t like how this person thinks RHCP is the only good rock band that nobody in the world can listen to any other band that exists.

if you're sitting on a fanfic idea because you think it's "too weird" or "too niche" I need you to understand something: the internet is VAST and FULL of people with your exact brand of weird. that crackship that makes sense only to you? there are at least 50 people who will read it and go "oh my god FINALLY." but even if there were ZERO? you still deserve to write the thing that makes your brain light up.

New Kids on the Block

Description: Seunghyun meets his new bandmates and does a favor for Jiyong.

Seunghyun returned to YG Entertainment the first thing the next morning. He hovered at the door and listened in like he did the day before. Loud music and the heavy sound of feet hitting the floor as they danced. Even at such an early hour, they practiced. Upon opening the door, his life will forever be changed. If he turned around to leave, it would remain the same, and that probably wouldn’t be a good thing. He pushed the door open, sealing his fate.

The dancers didn’t react to his presence, except for one. Jiyong was among the dancers. His placement was in the center of the front row. He had a good view of who came in or out of the studio. Once he heard the door opening, his eyes locked straight onto Seunghyun and his lips turned up into a smile. Though his attention was focused on something else, Jiyong still danced, not missing a single step.

Seunghyun stared back at him. The hard eye contact they shared was broken by the music coming to a stop. Seunghyun looked over to his left to see YG with his hand raised, signaling everyone to stop what they were doing. YG waved him over. He gave Jiyong one more look before slowly walking over to the CEO.

“Great! You didn’t run off on me.” YG chuckled. “Some were lucky enough to make it through auditions, but changed their mind and I never saw them again.”

“This has been my dream. I couldn’t imagine throwing it away at the last minute,” Seunghyun said, feeling confident in himself.

“I hope you don’t mind sharing your dream with others because you won’t be performing on your own,” he informed. “Three others will be joining you.” He waved his hand again.

Seunghyun didn’t mind sharing his dream with others. Despite his wish to perform in front of the world and share his musical talent, he was shy. Being in a group would mean that all attention wouldn’t be just on him.

Three of the trainees, including Jiyong, approached them. The two he didn’t know was introduced as Kang-sung and Dong Young-bae, who went by Taeyang. At least, he would be familiar with one person in his new group. The other seemed nice as well. However, like mentioned before, Seunghyun was shy. This included meeting new people, afraid that they might not like him in some way or another.

“Let’s take a little break, so you four can get to know each other better.” YG stood up. “A band will make it far if their members have good chemistry.”

YG left the room, announcing that he will be going on his lunch break. The new group sat around in a circle in a corner of the studio away from everybody else. They took turns sharing facts about themselves. Turns out, Taeyang and Jiyong were childhood friends. Taeyang’s parents and YG were business partners, so it was natural that their sons would spend a lot of time together. Daesung was a newcomer like Seunghyun. He was encouraged to audition by his friends who also auditioned. Daesung was the only one of them that made it through.

By the end of the break, it felt like they had known each other for longer than thirty minutes. Seunghyun was glad that his conscience telling him that Taeyang and Daesung would hate him was wrong.

He hope that they become good friends in the near future.

When Seunghyun stepped out of the building, the sun had set. The sky was a dark blue, almost black. His legs and back pained him greatly. It was his first day as a trainee and he was already put to work. This was what he signed up for, so he couldn’t be mad and he wasn’t mad. Once they were past the trainee stage, this would all be worth it when they’re selling millions of records.

Seunghyun was about to start his walk home when he heard someone talking. It sounded like they were in a pretty heated argument. He followed the direction where the voice was coming from to see a figure at the edge of the parking lot, speaking to someone in a black SUV.

“Dad, why can’t you take me home? Don’t you care about the well being of your son?” the voice whined to the person in the vehicle.

Seunghyun couldn’t hear what the other person said in response, but, telling by the person stomping his foot in anger, they declined. Shortly afterwards, the SUV sped away, leaving the person alone. The person turned around, arms crossed. Seunghyun finally caught his face to see that it was Jiyong. He was upset. His mind was telling him to ignore the situation and walk home, but his body wouldn’t let him do that. He needed to know if his new bandmate was okay.

Seunghyun rushed to him. Jiyong jumped at the sight of him, obviously not expecting anybody else as all the other trainees had already left.

“Are you alright, Ji?” Seunghyun asked, hoping that it was dark enough to hide the concern on his face.

Jiyong breathed deeply, trying to calm his nerves. “My dad is late to some stupid dinner and won’t take me home, so I have to walk. I freaking hate having to walk on my own when it’s so dark outside.”

Seunghyun didn’t hesitate to offer a helping hand. It was the least he could do for Jiyong getting him into the industry.

“I can walk you home if that would make you feel better,” Seunghyun suggested.

“You don’t have to. I know you’re ready to go home.” Jiyong began to walk forward. “Thanks anyway.”

“No, i don’t mind at all.” Seunghyun knew what he would be returning home to. This would postpone it. “You’re my bandmate. We’re supposed to help each other.”

Jiyong didn’t try to change his mind anymore. They walked close together. Jiyong was slightly ahead of him because he, of course, knew where he was going. Seunghyun was only centimeters behind him. Whenever a car would pass by, Jiyong would stop and watch the car drive pass. Seunghyun would have to hold in his laughter every time.

Much of the walk was silence between them. The few times either of them talk was Seunghyun reassuring Jiyong that there was nothing to be afraid of like when they were passing by a wooded area. There was movement in one of the bushes. Jiyong had stopped and held onto Seunghyun tightly.

“What was that?” He squeezed the sleeves of Seunghyun’s jacket.

Seunghyun stared at the direction the sound was at only to see a black and white cat jump out of the bush.

“It’s just a stray.” Seunghyun watched the cat run further into the woods.

Jiyong hurriedly let go of his sleeve. “Sorry,” he apologized.

Seunghyun forgave him and they continued on with the walk.

Ten minutes later, they arrived at Jiyong’s house, the house that Seunghyun used to see on TV all of the time. They lived rich as the houses were clearly more expensive than the average. However, they didn’t live out in the hills far away from civilization like most celebrities. They lived in an upper class neighborhood where the next house was only a few feet away.

Jiyong and Seunghyun stepped on the sidewalk right in front of his house.

“Thanks for walking me home tonight.” Jiyong bowed.

Seunghyun smiled. “You’re welcome. If you need me to walk you home again, don’t be afraid to ask. I actually enjoyed this.”

Their eyes were locked onto each other for a while. A gentle smile on both of their faces. It was a cool night, but heat burned Seunghyun’s cheeks.

“Um, goodnight, Seunghyun,” Jiyong began walking down the driveway to get to the front door without stepping on the wet grass.

Seunghyun put his hand up to wave, but it stayed still. “Goodnight, Ji. I’ll see you at practice tomorrow.”

Jiyong gave a nod and went into his house. Seunghyun stood on the sidewalk for a few more seconds before making the walk to his own home, or whatever it was supposed to be.

Changed my username AGAIN (previously lostheaventales) and went through the trouble of fixing existing links AGAIN. But I’m happy with this username, so hopefully this will be permanent. Not making any promises tho.

Basically, it’s my irl nickname with the first adjective that popped up in my mind in front of it.

Also, I changed my theme which is not surprising since I change it every few months or depending on what’s my current fascination is (currently Bigbang).
