Talk of King dice’s mini bosses and relation to him.

One thing I like about all the mini bosses in king dice is theyre little snippets of his likes and personality.

you have the main six gambling references. dominoes, chips, racehorse betting, roulette, pool betting, cards in Mr chimes level and even claw machines are considered gambling and I love the idea of king dice getting frustrated at one of those (also nice reference to melon bread with mangosteen) imagining dice playing such a calm game as pool is fun though.

then there is hopus pocus who is prbably another cards reference but seeing as he uses his sleeves to pull out cards and makes a dice magically appear suggests he is really into his magic tricks, which is kind of amusing to me.

And then there is these two which I love purely becasue king dice is both a drinker and smoker and that fits his personality so well. Him taunting you with a martini and a fat cigar is the picture of that smug cube man.

Something that I wish Grezzo/Nintendo had done was allow you to fight the Mini-Bosses in the battle Gauntlet of Link’s dreams in Ocarina of Time. I’d love to fight Dark Link again without having to play through the game again and again. It’s still fun, but after a while it can become slightly tiring.

Cuphead Headcanons

Just some headcanons I’ve had rolling around for a little bit. These are just my thoughts on some of the mini bosses so please enjoy.

-Mr. Wheezy’s full name is Havier Havana Wheezy. He speaks Spanish, more specifically the Cuban dialect (I always picture him as a Havana Cigar). Mr. Wheezy normally runs the smoking lounge in the casino. He has dreadful breath.

 -Phear Lap was farm horse that tried to make it as a race horse before he came to work in Inkwell Hell. An injury from his final race left him unable to compete anymore and resulted in a permanent limp (hence his hovering booth).  Phear Lap nded up being in charge of all races in Inkwell Hell, be it horse or greyhound races.

 -Hopus Pocus was a good magician before he ended up in Inkwell Hell, but he had a dreadful habit of ringing up debt as they rabbit spent more than he earned. The Devil offered to buy up his debt if he came to work for him. Hopus Pocus agreed and has been an entertainer for quite some time. None of the other staff is sure if he regrets his deal, but everyone agrees he’s slightly unhinged.
