A miniature kitchen I made last weekend! Once I month I meet up with some cool people to make, paint, and learn about miniatures of all sorts. This was my project.

Re-ment Addicts Color with a Twist Challenge on Flickr - The first color I drew was Brown (with gold and beige). I thought it would be extremely challenging, but found that I had more things in the color scheme than I thought. If you’re a Re-ment collector, or a miniatures enthusiast, check out the Re-ment Addicts group on Flickr:

Here’s my first shot at making 1:12 bowls. Now to fill them with food!
I used a large ball tool as a mold for the inside of the bowls, but it didn’t work perfectly. The clay distorted when I pulled them off, even though I used potato starch. After baking I sanded them into shape and I got them as thin as I wanted. Then I painted them with acrylic paint--phthalo blue. Then glaze, which grabbed some color while painting it on.
