Since the first shoot date of almost a year and a half ago in his Bloomington bedroom, we’ve had three interviews and multiple days of shooting b roll (which really just felt like kicking it). Anyway, here’s the first minute of episode 4, filmed in Grill Billyenz’s bedroom. This is a short film capturing the work of nine nuns who run a residential care home in Oruro, Bolivia. They care for approx. 130 elderly people – many of whom have been abandoned. The home also maintains a farm to provide a fresh supply of meat and vegetables to the residents. Eu até me emociono de falar, porque eu me sinto no lugar dessa mãe que perdeu os filhos e isso é muito doído!” “Essas notícias, essas ameaças me fazem me sentir um pouco insegura sim, me deixam um pouco receosa, mas eu me sinto segura por causa dos seguranças, por causa da atenção dos professores com a gente. A única coisa que eu sinto um pouco de falta é que a gente poderia ser treinado, tendo noção do que fazer nessas situações.” Os depoimentos são da diarista Maria Fabiana de Aquino Matos, mãe de três crianças, e da estudante Bianca Guterres, de 15 anos. Os recentes casos de violência nas escolas têm provocado discussões que vão além da segurança pública e englobam também problemas sociais. O minidoc Uma Escola mais Segura faz uma reflexão sobre como esses casos interferem no dia a dia de alunos e professores. Além disso, traz entrevistas com especialistas que falam sobre os perigos das redes sociais e a importância do papel dos pais e da escola. A reportagem aborda também as ações do governo federal para resolver o problema. A produção é da equipe da Superintendência de Comunicação Digital e Mídias Sociais da EBC, com roteiro de Karla Wathier, imagens de Jorge Monforte, direção de Leandro Rolim e edição de Felipe Leite.
