We just love making our own things. When you find out how easy they are to make, you'll wonder why you ever bought it. ⏳ The trick is patience. Some things like Vanilla Extract need time to mature. At least 18months actually. ⌚ But it's so much cheaper than buying it in the shops. This way I can also make sure that the only thing in my vanilla extract is vanilla pods and vegetable glycerin. No vodka or other alcohol and no synthetic flavours or preservatives. ♻️ I also don't have to throw away 100's of mini plastic bottles either. 😁 Do you make your own products? For me it's so important to have what I need in my garden. That way I know how it's cared for, I know what's been used on it, I know it's completely natural. 👩‍🌾 I'm not the best gardener by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm loving the learning process. 👩‍🌾 Rosemary was one of the first things we planted in this garden and it's been thriving ever since. 👩‍🌾 However it rarely ends up in our food 😂. I use most of it in my natural vinegar cleaners. I have several large Mason jars filled with rosemary infused vinegar ready to refill my spray bottles. 👩‍🌾 I also have Mason jars filled with Rosemary infused Grapeseed oil ready to make my hair oils. 👩‍🌾 Now that I have a dehydrator I'll also be drying out this wonderful herb so I can refill my dried mixed herb pots. 👩‍🌾 There's just so many uses for this herb. Every garden should have one. . . First of the high raised beds for the carrots to live in .. I will cheat the carrot fly!! 🖕 lacy buggers can’t fly up that high!! ( thank god ) I ve got rainbow carrot seedlings - and then I m going to direct sew some carrots too .. we rather like a carrot or three here !! Another step closer to growing our own .. ( we made this in the rain !! ) moving the old wardrobe next !!
