#mint allergy

My brother put peppermint oil on my skin bc he doesn't believe I'm actually allergic. Let's go on this ride together.

So dermatological reactions can take hours, even days, to occur post exposure. Read that again.

Okay great! We're on the same page.

According to my brother, since my skin didn't immediately turn red or blister or swell up, I'm fine! I washed it off, but it was oil. On my skin. It was soaked in by the time I had a chance to wash. Which only take a couple minutes anyway, if you're confused.

So... it's been ≈ 30 minutes. I'll update this post with any changes.

Right now, I'm nauseous and a little itchy at the site. It feels wrong, like a cold burn right now. And it hurts, just enough to know it hurts.

can somebody pls explain to me WHY my only toothpaste options seem to be mint, children’s toothpaste, or charcoal? I’m allergic to mint and charcoal can react badly to my medication. So I guess I’m just a child now.   ¯\_(o.O)_/¯

Okay, so if you know me irl, I've probably asked you this or asked someone around you but:

Can someone explain the difference between the various kinds of mint flavoring?

I am highly allergic to all of it and hated mint even before I developed my allergy, so I have no idea what the deal is.

Can someone please explain? Like, what makes one thing taste like spearmint while another is wintergreen?

I mentioned asking before, but I've never really gotten very good answers... please help if you can.

I think it's time i admit I'm having an allergic skin reaction to topical mint products (rip me and my liberal use of pain relief creams, and farewell my beloved eucalyptus and spearmint Epsom salts), but the confusing thing is that i appear thus far to have no reaction to orally ingesting mint products or even toothpaste and mouthwash
