Lotus Silk Makes Yunmeng RICH

When an enterprising and clever young silk farmer finds a way to extract silk from the stems of lotus flowers, he goes to meet with the Madame of the Jiang sect and proposes an industry that could make them as rich as Lanling. Huaisang is intrigued and sees a business with vast potential. So during harvest time at lotus pier they take the often useless stems and extract lotus silk from them. The fabric and thread it makes is so white and light and airy with a strength and elasticity to it that it becomes very popular, as it’s even better than normal silk. Wealthy people from across the land are ordering the lotus silk as fast as they can produce it and some people are willing to wait up to years to get their hands on it. It becomes a new status symbol and with people willing to pay almost anything to get it, the Jiang sect (and the lad who came up with it) are practically swimming in their newfound wealth. The Koi Tower may be paved with gold, but Lotus Pier is draped in lotus silk.

Raising Jingyi AU

Wei Wuxian is an omega who recently miscarried his baby. He’s despondent and depressed and at a loss for what to do. He clings to his mate and their first born, trying to fill a hole left in his soul from the loss of his precious one. Lan Wangji doesn’t know what to do and just spends all his time trying to make his omega eat or sleep. Then one night Lan Xichen arrives at the Jingshi with a newborn. He explains that Jingyi’s father died during the war and that his mother just died during child birth. He asks the couple if they could take the child in as their own. They are both a bit hesitant to replace their lost baby, but then Jingyi starts to cry and Wei Wuxian starts to lactate. He takes the baby from Xichen’s arms and brings him to his chest to feed. He smiles and cries tears of happiness for the first time in days and Lan Wangji immediately agrees. Lan Jingyi grows up alongside Lan Sizhui and as Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian’s second son.

Black Butler Sleeping Beauty AU

((An amalgamation of various versions of the Sleeping Beauty story. This is Sebaciel, but there’s no underage stuff.))

When King Vincent starts to target the people of his kingdom for their fey magic, Fey King Sebastian vows to take revenge on the human monarch. So on the day of the Prince’s tenth birthday, Sebastian curses him with all the malicious intent of his being. The curse promises that in ten years time, on the anniversary of his birth, the prince will prick his finger on a spindle and fall into an eternal slumber. But the human king, known as both villainous and cleaver, had prepared for the fey with a little trickery of his own. On the day of the party, Vincent had swapped Crown Prince Ciel with his younger, weaker twin, the spare. The majority of the kingdom have no knowledge of the spare, who does not even have his own name, and has always been referred to as Ciel by his caregivers. After Sebastian’s departure, Vincent sends the spare away to live in a cabin near the Fey Realm to hopefully distract Sebastian from his plans to find a weapon strong enough to kill the fey king. And it works. Sebastian, secure in the knowledge of his revenge, settles himself once more as the benevolent king, content to watch the cursed boy. 

Ciel, despite his cursed fate, his status as the spare, and his frankly incompetent caregivers (Bard, Mey-Rin, and Finny), grows into a wild, happy, and wickedly clever young man. He has long slate colored hair, a slight build due to frequent sickness and the curse has turned his right eye violet. He easily befriends the subjects of Sebastian’s kingdom and even Sebastian himself. Ciel and Sebastian have steadily fallen for each other and Ciel has a wish to rule the realm by Sebastian’s side, although he knows that he will surely fall before he can fulfill his dream. Sebastian wants the same thing and he spends nearly all day and night searching for a way break Ciel’s curse.

The week before his birthday Prince Ciel decides to take a shortcut through the forest and witnesses his twin mid-tryst with the demon who cursed him. The Prince is enraged because he believes that the fey has seduced his innocent twin and he resolves to kill Sebastian, thinking that by killing the fey, his brother’s curse will be broken. The Prince tells his father and the day before his twentieth birthday, King Vincent sends for the spare in order to lure Sebastian into their trap. 

Sebastian attacks the castle in order to save his beloved but he must face the Undertaker, a reaper bound to the royal family solely to kill the fey king. While Sebastian is occupied by Undertaker, Ciel has been possessed by the curse and finds the only spinning wheel in the castle. The Prince finds Ciel but is too late to stop him from pricking his finger. When the Prince sees that Ciel weeps for his love before he he falls, he has a change of heart regarding the fey and can clearly see the madness that had overtaken Vincent’s heart.

The Prince, who has fallen in love with the reaper, stops the fight by killing his father and freeing the Undertaker from his bond. The Prince tells Sebastian about Ciel and the fey king mourns at Ciel’s bedside for twenty days and twenty nights. On the morning of the twenty-first day he takes his love back to the forest to a special glade to preserve him there for the rest of eternity. Before he leaves, he gives Ciel one last kiss, and walks away.

Sebastian has settled on his throne to hold court when the crowd falls to a hush. The fey part to let through a vision that Sebastian thought he would never again witness. Ciel walks through the glade, healthy and hale for the first time in years. Sebastian falls to his knees before his love and proposes on the spot.

The two kingdoms live happily ever after, with the two twins spearheading an unprecedented time of peace and prosperity in the land.

Sure, Jiang Cheng may have had to go through Nie Mingjue to have Nie Huaisang’s hand in marriage, but Huaisang had to go through Jiang Yanli first. Even the great ChiFeng-Zun would be afraid of Jiang Yanli when she’s in mama bear mode. The marriage negotiations were quite a spectacle to behold. And everyone walked out of there with reaffirmed respect to Sect Leader Nie and a budding esteem for Young Madam Jin. (Who, by the way, haggled like a champ at the negotiations all while holding a sleeping, six-month-old Jin Ling in her arms. Her voice was a soft as silk and her resolve as hard as steel, and Nie Mingjue didn’t dare raise his own voice any higher than a murmur, for fear of waking the famously temperamental baby and inciting Yanli’s sharp tongue.) And after the whole wedding fiasco was over, her and Mingjue became fast friends, often taking time during official visits to have some calming tea and share some gossip.

Wei Wuxian Daily Schedule

Wei Wuxian has carved quite a life for himself in the Cloud Recesses. His average day is consistent and fulfilling. He and Lan Zhan often travel “to where the chaos is” but when they are at home, it’s a different story.

5am : He wakes up briefly alongside his husband, just long enough to give his Lan Zhan a good morning kiss (yes, morning breath and all but they can’t start their day without one) before promptly falling back asleep for another three hours.

8am : He’s awoken by another, deeper kiss by his husband and the absolutely mouth-watering smell of the breakfast Lan Wangji made for him. (Lan Zhan has become quite good at incorporating spices into the food he cooks for the love of his life.)

8-9am : Wei Wuxian has just enough time to scarf down his breakfast, get dressed, get thoroughly ravished by his husband with a heated make-out session and maybe a quickie if they have the time, get dressed again!, and brush through both their hair before Lan Zhan has to leave to make it to the beginners calligraphy classes he teaches to the children.

9-11am : This is Wei Wuxian’s free time and he spends it in a variety of ways.

Tending to a mid-sized garden of herbs, spices, chilies, potatoes, radishes and melons he keeps on a few raised platforms to the side of the Jingshi. There’s also a small pond that is blooming with lotuses he keeps a diligent eye on (if he can grow lotuses at the Burial Mounds, he can grow them literally everywhere). 

Developing new and brilliant cultivation items in the small, warded workshop a little ways up the mountain. 

Traveling down to Caiyi Town to spend a bit of Lan Wangji’s money and care for some of the street orphans there, bringing them new clothes or shoes and blankets, helping them find jobs with the locals. He maintains a small hut on the edge of town that gives these little ones a place to sleep. He provides medical aid and protection from thieves and vagabonds. Everyone knows not to touch the hut lest the fury of the Yiling Patriarch descend upon them. When a child shows a talent for cultivation, he will bring them up the mountain to become a part of the sect. (He’s got an in with the Lans and the children he brings are motivated and grateful enough that they always excel in their studies, so the Elders have little to complain about.)

11-12pm : Wei Wuxian descends on the kitchens and makes his and Lan Zhan’s lunch. He’s actually a good cook, especially since he’s learned to tone down the spiciness of his husbands portion at least. He isn’t as good as Lan Zhan, but he does a few meals really well and excels at simple dishes. 

12-12:30pm : Lunch is a brief affair and he and Lan Zhan often spend it outside if the weather permits.

12:30 - 3pm : Sparring lessons with the juniors and, when the year is right, guest disciples. It’s an honor to be taught by the great Hanguang-Jun and the vindicated Yiling Patriarch. Wei Wuxian tries not to play favorites, but everybody knows that he has a soft spot for his two adopted sons, Sizhui and Jingyi, his nephew Jin Ling, and their friend Ouyang Zizhen.

4-6pm : The juniors have their last lessons for the day. And Wei Wuxian teaches them the more practical side of cultivation with some room for theory. He expands their minds and they always leave his class with headaches.

6-6:30pm : Dinner with the sect. Talking is forbidden but Wei Wuxian likes spending a meal with the members of the Lan family he actually likes.

6:30-9pm : An evening spent with his husband. They sometimes play music or read or play together and they always make wonderful and passionate love to each other. After all, everyday is everyday.

12am : Every third night or so, they night hunt with the juniors and Wei Wuxian gets them into all sorts of situations, but always gets them out of it one way or another. And there’s always Lan Wangji there to keep his husband in check when needed.
