god just the idea that each of the death's so far in yellowjackets can be traced back to the person who loved them the most. even if they meant no harm, even if they did but they didn't mean to kill them. whether it really is their fault or not, they are left with overwhelming grief and guilt.

like laura lee and lottie

lottie went to laura lee for advice about visions from god

during the batism lottie saw a vision of fire and light around laura lee that scared her

laura lee interpreted it as being touched by the holy spirit

laura lee believes these are messages from god - asking for a sign and then having the bird appear next to her and fly away, lottie taking the birds place.

laura lee believes it is her purpose to save everyone by flying the plane to safety

lottie watches as laura lee is engulfed in fire and light when the plane explodes.

shauna and jackie

jackie giving up and stopping eating after finding out shauna's lies and that jeff is the baby's father. she doesn't eat the mushrooms and is the only (unintentionally) sober person at doomcoming

jackie wanting to sleep with travis being entangled with her feelings for shauna (romantic or not). being able to "be on the same level" as shauna if they're not virgins, trying to understand that sex must be "the greatest thing" if it meant shauna betraying their friendship for it

jackie sleeping with travis firmly alienating her from the other yellowjackets. shauna nearly killing travis being the start of their final argument

shauna releasing a decade of suppressed rage, jealousy and insecurity on jackie in two minutes - and then standing her ground when jackie demands she leave the cabin

jackie leaves / is exiled from the cabin to sleep outside

shauna refuses to go out and apologise

jackie dies in her sleep with it snows.

misty and crystal/kristin

misty destroying the black box is the reason they are all stuck there

crystal showing misty how much their friendship means by telling her secrets

misty offering to go with crystal to empty the bucket so she won't be alone doing the worst chore

they continue to tell each other deeper and deeper secrets until misty confesses about the black box when they're near the cliff. crystal wants nothing to do with misty and misty panics about losing her friend and about her secret getting out

misty threatens to kill crystal if she doesn't keep the secret, getting up in her face

crystal steps back away from misty and falls off the cliff.

travis & natalie and javi

javi runs away after seeing the team try to hunt travis during doomcoming. travis is nearly killed but natalie saves him

travis and natalie searching for javi while hunting. travis is focused only on finding javi, not wanting to search areas again even if they are better hunting spots

natalie finds the moose in the lake and the team break the ice trying to get it out. it falls through and natalie nearly goes after it, travis pulls her back

javi being the reason why travis and natalie fall apart (when he turns up alive and it's revealed she faked his death to try and help travis move on), and then come back together (when travis sees natalie being able to connect with javi through her kindness)

the starving team decides to draw cards to choose who will be sacrificed for food. natalie draws the card. shauna holding the knife to her throat is just like at doomcoming, and travis saves natalie

travis is held back after natalie runs for it, travis begs javi for help. javi runs after natalie

javi tries to take natalie to a safe spot but on the lake finds a single weaker spot where the ice breaks and he falls through

natalie tries to save him from drowning but is forced to make the decision between her life and trying to save javi

javi drowns in the frozen lake.

natalie & lottie and travis

lottie believes that the wilderness symbol is one of protection. she helps travis in his grief and panic and he begins to believe in the rituals

natalie and travis become each other's crutches, relying on each other to an unhealthy co-dependant degree. they try to numb their pain using drugs.

natalie overdoses and travis gets the EMTS. when she comes to she tells travis that "they brought It back with us"

travis disappears on natalie, changing his name

natalie gets travis' new contact details from misty and calls him, and he hangs up

travis is going through some kind of break, believing that It is there and that if he gets close to death he can communicate with it. he contacts lottie who comes to try and help him

lottie falls asleep and travis sneaks out, leaving the message "tell nat she was right" behind

travis is determined to communicate with It (most likely in a death dream with javi) or die trying, and has set up the symbol in candles. and lottie concedes to help him to try and keep him safe

lottie has her own vision / hallucination of laura lee and is distracted

travis hangs above the symbol. lottie sees it happen. natalie finds his body.

misty & lottie and natalie

lottie spies on natalie after travis' death. she has her acolytes kidnap natalie, to save her from committing suicide. she wants natalie to stay at the compound to try and heal. she encourages natalie's friendship with lisa

misty is determined to find natalie after she's kidnapped, and joins the cult even after natalie has told her to go

lottie asks misty to stay. and misty contacts the other survivors and brings them there

lottie now believes that they brought it back with them, and that the only way to fix things is to sacrifice one of them again. misty breaks into lottie's cupboard (where the shotgun is) to get her phone.

they have a hunt. misty brings a lethal dose of fentanyl as back up

lottie says that natalie was the wilderness' favourite and natalie pulls a knife on her. lisa appears with the shotgun to defend lottie and confront them

misty goes to use the fentanyl on lisa and natalie puts herself between them, sacrificing herself by taking the needle

misty holds natalie while she dies
