Less than a month until we open Michael Pink’s newest work, Dorian Gray! This week we’re introducing you to members of his creative team, beginning with longtime collaborator, London-based composer Philip Feeney. Feeney penned the scores to Pink’s most popular ballets, including Dracula, Peter Pan, and Mirror Mirror. What’s the key to Feeney’s success? "Philip Feeney has become one of England's most important composers of music for dance. Since Thursday, Boston Ballet audiences have been able to find out why as they've heard his sumptuous, original score for The Hunchback of Notre Dame." - Boston Herald

Apart from over forty scores he has composed for Ballet Central, Feeney has collaborated with many different choreographers including William Louther, Jane Dudley, Christopher Gable, Michael Pink, Didy Veldman, Michael Keegan-Dolan, Derek Williams, David Nixon, Adam Cooper and Sara Matthews.

As a pianist, he has worked with many companies, including Northern Ballet Theatre, the Gulbenkian Company, Birmingham Royal Ballet, London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Rambert Dance Company, Carlos Acosta, Adventures in Motion Pictures, White Oak Project and the Martha Graham Company. Thank you mkeballet for an amazing season, for filling our spirit with spectacular dance and for recognizing and rewarding the undeniable passion and connection my daughter has with this art form! If you look closely at the bits from Don Quixote, you see my Jessie in the back in a long maroon skirt and head scarf. The kids dance didn’t make the edit for this, but Jess worked hard enough, and was lucky enough to be chosen to dance in three of these productions this year. To Timothy O'Donnell, the entire talented company, Michael Pink, the Milwaukee Ballet School and Academy and everyone behind the scenes, words cannot express the joy you bring to our lives every day. Jess would not be Jess without this artform and the opportunities available through this school and company. Can’t wait for 2015-2016!
