Work thoughts:  What if Crowley somehow gets discorporated a la what happened to Aziraphale but he knows he’s got to get the hell out of Hell as soon as he can before anyone notices, and he certainly can’t just grab another body.  So Aziraphale allows himself to be possessed (they figured after the switch that it was probably possible).  Cue their adventures sharing a body as they try to figure out how to get Crowley back in one of his own.
