3.07 | 4.05 -> May and Daisy grieving alone
Hey Dr. Crane. There have been rumors of a certain security guard giving inmates a hard time. Even by Arkham standards, his methods are apparently excessive and cruel. His Name is Bolton. Lyle Bolton.
I donāt know if youāve crossed paths, but if so, be careful.
Ah, Bolton. Unfortunately Iāve had the displeasure of encountering that wild bore barely masquerading as a person many times. Typically our interactions end with a bloody nose on my end. Though Iāve also had a few fractures as a gift from him on the rare occasion. I am not a fan of him if that isnāt clear enough. However heās also a clear example of why fear must be eliminated, he goes out his way to target those he sees as weak, such as myself because heās so afraid. This fear and desire for control is what fuels his actions. Heās a high school bully who never grew up. Pitiful.
i just rewatched 4x05 and noticed may putting daisy on the ground after the guy almost strangled her to death before she started fighting, while coulson covered them. ah my heart...

No one ever likes seeing their kid in danger
We need to talk about Lock-Up.
Lock-Up is one of the best episodes of Batman: The Animated Series. (And, yet, not even in my Top 3, which shows you how amazing this show was.) It opens up with Batman and Robin taking an escaped Scarecrow back to Arkham Asylum. Scarecrow is (ironically) terrified. He shouts that he wanted to escapeĀ him. A guard gets aggressive, something that Batman picks up on, because BTAS-Batman is the Best-Batman:

So, Bruce Wayne calls for a hearing to investigate the guard. Give the whole scene a watch. Itās Saturday āmorningā, after all!
Everything about the scene is gold, from the scarily realistic manipulation tactics, to the inmates protecting each other, to Bruce knowing how to play the room, to Bruce standing still while everyone else backs away, before kicking over the chair to stop the villain...
And, of course, in the end, you get the villain blaming theĀ āliberal mediaā. He later goes on to say that they need to Make Gotham City Safe Again. Also, you get this hilarious line:

The guard becomes a supervillain (Lock-Up) and Saturday Morning Cartoon shenanigans ensue. All of which ends with Batman fighting him, creating one of the greatest dialogues:

Because BTAS-Batman is the Best-Batman!
This is the part where Iām supposed to tell you to go watch this full episode, and by all means, if you can find it, watch it! Yet, suspiciously, itās missing from the Amazon Prime lineup, the only episode thatās not featured. Now isnāt that interesting? Regardless, there are plenty of other ways you can watch it, if you know where to look.
Oh, and if youāre rolling your eyes at the wholeĀ āliberal mediaā andĀ āMake Gotham City Safe Againā comments, thinking that this is just another hastily-written parody of Trumpās America, might I remind you that this particular episode came out 26 years ago:
BECAUSE BTAS-BATMAN IS THE BEST BATMAN!!!!
