This Thursday! Join SPD and the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) for the next event in the summer reading series COMMUNITY VOICES: POETS SPEAK, curated by Raina J. León. Over the course of the series, Bay Area poets will share new poems created in response to the current exhibitions.

Saw the show yesterday in San Francisco.  A great opportunity to see a collection out of a New York museum.  

And I have to say it, this medium-sized exhibit probably has more works by African-American artists on display than you will find on the walls of that massive art-museum-that-shall-remain-nameless.  The one that is located around the block from MoAD.
