hi. today while i was working on our attraction types list, i got the idea to make a post explaining what an attraction type is due to some terms i've seen not falling into what i& consider an attraction type.

however, in starting to make a post like that, i started wondering if our definition of an attraction type was even accurate.

so here's my question to those in the mogai community; how do you personally define an "attraction type"?

to get this discussion started, our personal definition is as follows: "an attraction type explains either what someone feels towards someone or something else, or how one would like to interact with said someone or something"

✨Mod Release: Runic Pets✨

Hey guys! Do you happen to play Hytale? Do you like my pretty Wyverns for Ark Survival Ascended?

WELL I've got GOOD news for you! I've made a mod for Hytale called Runic Pets! These cute lil guys have a summon item that can be crafted at a Tier 2 Farming bench, and when used, pops out an adorable, magical companion who will light the immediate area around you! No need to carry torches everywhere!

They don't attack, so they won't run off chasing some enemy, and they're invulnerable so they can't be killed! They'll also teleport to you if you get too far away from them or they get stuck! Do you need your shield to defend yourself or do you use a two hand weapon, but you're blind as a bat without a torch? RUNIC PETS TO THE RESCUE! These lil cuties can also be turned BACK into their item form via interaction if they get in your way, or if you want to try out a different one! There are FOUR pets currently available in the mod, but I'm working on more every day! :D (Crow, Bunny, Ghost Wolf Pup, & a Phoenix)

As mentioned here (link), here's our first installment of further discussion of attraction types we've made. For this installment, the attraction type we'll be focusing on is Aemuloime Attraction, which was posted here (link) & can be viewed on our site here (link).

This post will answer four questions, those being;

What does Aemuloime Attraction feel like?

What does an Aemuloime relationship look like?

Who might use or find Aemuloime Attraction helpful?

What attraction types are similar or adjacent too Aemuloime Attraction?

Before we answer these questions though, we'd like to mention that this is not an exhaustive or exclusive list of what Aemuloime Attraction feels & looks like; This is just enough examples to further explain Aemuloime Attraction than originally defined!

With that out of the way, let's begin.

What does Aemuloime Attraction feel like?

In its most simple form, as originally defined, Aemuloime Attraction feels like wanting to copy, imitate, or mimic someone, or wanting to be copied, imitated, or mimicked. Below are some more examples & expanded examples of how Aemuloime Attraction feels & presents itself;

Someone wanting to either be someone else, or just not themself, & alleviating this by copying, imitating, or mimicking others.

Someone finding the act of being copied, imitated, or mimicked flattering, or entertaining & fun.

Someone feeling that they don't fit in with others or society, & combating this by copying, imitating, or mimicking those they feel do fit in.

Someone finding themself/something about themself unpleasant, but feels comfort when seeing others with those traits.

Someone idolizing or looking up towards another, & copying, imitating, or mimicking, said individual to feel closer to them.

All of these examples could have many reasons for what causes them, some examples being atypical dysphoria, alterhumanity, mental & physical illnesses/symptoms, systemhood, etc. In the end though, what all these examples share is the act of copying, imitation, or mimicry.

What does an Aemuloime relationship look like?

All Aemuloime relationships include, to some degree, the acts of copying, imitation, or mimicry. Below are some specific examples of how an Aemuloime relationship could look like;

Partner A getting into similar interests & hobbies as Partner B as a result of Partner B wanting Partner A to copy their interests & hobbies.

Partner A dying their hair brown because Partner B & Partner C have brown hair, & Partner A wants to mimic their looks.

Partner A starts wearing dark blue colored-contacts because Partner B has light blue eyes, & Partner A wants to imitate Partner B's eye color.

Partner A & Partner B start drawing in more cartoonish art styles because Partner C has a cartoonish art style.

Partner A makes their body movements more noticeable so Partner B can mimic them easier.

Partner A explains their daily schedule in detail so Partner B & Partner C can imitate it.

It's worth noting that an Aemuloime relationship doesn't guarantee that one partner will fully mimic another, & instead might only mimic a few, or only one thing. Those in an Aemuloime relationship also don't have to exclusively be mimicked or be mimicking, they can do both!

Who might use or find Aemuloime Attraction helpful?

Any alterhuman/nonhumans & neurodivergent individuals might find Aemuloime Attraction useful, but here's some more specific examples;

Mimic or Shapeshifter Alterhumans, Nonhumans, & System Members, such as those who mimic others instinctively.

Anyone who copies, imitates, & mimics others to understand them better, such as those who do so out of curiosity or an urge to gain knowledge.

Neurodivergent Individuals who aren't aware of social norms, & mimic others in social situations.

Neurodivergent Individuals with anxiety, such as social anxiety, who imitate others to feel safer.

Neurodivergent Individuals with avoidant symptoms, such as AvPD, who copy others to avoid showing their own self/identity.

Anyone who feels they lack an identity, & copy, imitate, or mimic others to make/give themself one.

While Aemuloime Attraction was made specifically with alterhumans & neurodivergent individuals, it is not exclusive to such. The above examples only mention them often because this section is focused more or specific people then general people.

What attraction types are similar or adjacent too Aemuloime Attraction?

Mimicanec; Similar in its mentions of mimicry & mimics.

Mimivocanec; Similar in its mentions of mimicry & mimics.

Envious/Invidious; Adjacent in its mentions to have s similar appearance or presentation towards one's object of attraction.

Snow and ice are really cool materials, but there aren’t enough variants to build cool and detailed... idk castles? Sure! Now you have sculpted and brick variants for that! 

To craft this new blocks you’ll need to use the stonecutter, no other way for it, sorry! But that way the stonecutter gets more uses and importance, which is my aim after all.
