An avian's wings are very, very weak - well, they're strong, but get hurt easily. It's a sign of deep trust for them to let you touch your wings.
For this, whenever Skizz tries to get Tango to touch or preen his wings, Tango freaks out.
He's a blaze hybrid! He's gonna burn him! What if- what if-
Skizz assures him every time, and impulse starts sitting beside them while tango gets his turn to preen Skizz's wings, to take over if he gets too overwhelmed, since he has experience with helping skizz.
Tango still isn't sure, but the happy chirps from Skizz and the laugh from Zed when he asks over and over if he did something wrong are worth it.
Is a flustering and humbling experience as much as a loving and emboldening one. Skizz's bright smile alongside the fluttering of now preened wings is enough to make Tango melt. He's so grateful Skizz trusts him.
