Thought this would be fun to share, here’s a tierlist categorizing my headcanons for the sexual and romantic identities of the main cast of Mortal Kombat, plus a few non-playable homies for good measure.

Maybe I’ll do a post about specific ships I like in the future but for now, sharing this, especially since it’ll inform fanfics I write.

Drawing a random MK character every day until i finish the series roster day 10!!! MOKAP!

Anywho, gonna keep this one brief since Mokap doesnt really have alot going on for him-

Mokap was a character introduced in MK Deadly Alliance as a secret fighter who you could unlock by doing a specific button combo on the character select menu. In lore Mokap’s real name is Charles Golden, who’s a motion capture actor who has studied multiple forms of martial arts… and thats about it.

In real life, Mokap’s character was made as a tribute to Carlos Pesina- the actor who played Raiden for the arcade era of MK - and they tried to replicate his face as best they could on the 3D render… which unfortunately- despite their sweet intentions- makes Mokap look really uncanny and also kinda depressed (which yes i tried to bring said expression into his pin) fjsjdbsbsbs!!!

I had fun with this one, Mokap is a silly character with a pretty goofy design so i honestly had a blast drawing him and i think he turned out cute!!

so according to one of the more credible mk dataminers, there are 8 unfilled character slots as of right now that could be used for future dlc after kp2 is over

he does not know the roster:kameo ratio breakdown, but he does know that that at the absolute most for kameos, it will be 7 kameos and 1 roster character, and at the absolute most for roster characters, it will be 6 roster characters and 2 kameos. the exact breakdown is still to be determined

after scrubbing through the code after ghostface was added, he was able to narrow down the possibilities for who could be a kameo character down to blaze, cassie blade (au cassie based on kr i guess?), daegon, hsuhao, jade, jarek, kobra, kotal, mokap, nightwolf, and triborg

of those kameo possibilities, several of them are also contenders for main roster spots too. those characters are blaze, hsuhao, jade, jarek, kobra, kotal, nightwolf, and triborg

Mirror Mokap/TR Mokap Bio

Carlos Pesina, a simple motion caption actor from Illinois, Chicago. During his early career, Carlos befriended a young John Carlton, and they started working in multiple projects together. Johnny was the one to give him the alias of Mokap, which he decided to start using, even referring to himself as such. Those were really fun times, times he would give anything to back to.

Years passed, and Mokap saw with sadness how Johnny’s career ended up in a disaster. He tried to help his friend back then, offering him support and telling him he could ask anything from him. Johnny just thanked him, but told him he didn’t need to worry, he would figure something up. As we know, he did, indeed.

One day, while working on a set, Mokap suddenly manifested… something. He couldn’t exactly tell what it was, but… He could apparently use some weird kind of telekinesis now!? And manipulate some white energy too!? That… That really felt like being trapped in one of the video games he had helped develop. Luckily no one else had noticed it, so he was in time to tell it exclusively to the people he trusted the most, Johnny included. Johnny was quick to tell him that he had a friend which could help him with his new discovery.

Mokap doesn’t even remember how he was transported to the Golden Dragon base. He had been in his home one moment, barely some minutes after telling Johnny what had happened, and in the other moment was already in a completely different place. As many others before him, he was approached by Taven.

Mokap was then explained everything about the universe he lived in that he didn’t know. The realms, their conflicts, the Elder Gods. You can be sure he wondered if he was dreaming more than once during it, but had to accept it was all true. He was also explained about his new powers, theorized by the Golden Dragon to have come from the Elder Gods themselves (since they sometimes granted great abilities to those they considered ‘worthy’), which had made Taven have interest in recruiting him. He explained Mokap of the Golden Dragon and its ideas and objectives, using the same convenient choices of words he ever did, his appealing personality… and yet he got nothing but constant refusals.

It took some time, but Taven realized what was happening. He had committed a mistake at not realizing that, unlike anyone he had ever been able to convince to join his clan, Mokap was a simple person. No great ambition, no frustration in life, no will to change his world no matter what. He was just a man who wanted to live his life, and a shocked one due to the revelations he had been given at that.

Usually, the procedure he followed with the likes of Mokap was making sure they would never be able to reveal any information about the Golden Dragon ever. But due to the fact that Mokap wasn’t someone with any resources to spread the information and was easy to keep under vigilance, that Taven knew he was important for Johnny (who he saw as a friend, as he did with all Golden Dragon members) and that being in Earthrealm instead of the Edenian Regime had softened him up a bit, Taven decided to make a one time exception and just take him back home, not without letting him clear that his clan would always keep an eye of him, of course.

From that day on, Mokap has just been able to live in fear and with constant paranoia. If Johnny was a Golden Dragon, who else could be? Could he even trust anyone else anymore? He definitely couldn’t speak of what had happened, not without taking a great risk. He started going out of his house much less due to this, a fact which has greatly affected his personal life for the worse…

Unfortunately for Mokap, despite wishing he could just live a simple life, his story will be an important one in this twisted world.

I brought this to myself for creating an AU in which literally any character requires of a bio lmao. Glad to finish it with my boy Mokap, though! 🤍💙🖤
