So like I love Monkart but like I feel like it had too many plotholes or like moments where things didn't make sense. I also had a lot of questions while watching. So I made a fanfic of basically rewriting Monkart in a different way but a lot of things are still kept the same. Anyways here it is I hope this fandom is still alive. My plan is to finish this by the end of summer, but life can get in the way at times so we’ll see how it goes. My user is LovelyAstra12 on Wattpad.
Nickel is a young boy obsessed with TWO things: sorcery (which is an acceptable route for getting a job in the universe of Monkart) and Monkart (basically racing little Pokemon type creatures in to-the-death Nascar type battles). He has an almost encyclopediac knowledge of sorcery and is able to talk to Sir Jock, an old man whose graduated from a school of sorcery that is prestigious in The Carman Kingdom, at the level of a near expert at the craft.
He has intense emotions and a strong sense of justice, and strong empathy for his monster, Trickie, who was presumed dead and to be the Ghost Rider before his father told him Trickie was alive to the point of severe and intense guilt for not being able to save Trickie from being set on fire during a race.
Nickel also struggles to bond with people because he comes across as "scary", not helped by his very unnerving looking dad, Garvo, who basically resembles Frankenstein as a white man. Speaking of, Garvo wanting Nickel to mask better and become the inheritor of his hotel is a major plot point, to the point he tricks Nickel into thinking Trickie is dead so he "won't focus on sorcery and Monkart racing all the time", yet Nickel even after Trickie's "death" focuses entirely on sorcery and clearing the fog from Ghostia Town.
He also struggles with making friends and is introverted unless he wants to talk about his special interests, typically sorcery.
Any other details:
His name can also be spelled "Nickkel Schwein", "Nichole Schwein", and "Nichole Swein". Monkart is very niche and the spellings of the names are often not standardized. Also, I really don't like Garvo! He basically only cared about his son when Dante, the real Ghost Rider, sent him to the Underworld. Once Garvo revealed he pretty much tried to control his son's entire personality and destiny like that, I felt like he was a pretty abusive guy and have no reservations about jokingly nicknaming him "Garbo".
