Dank-Jank Combos: Bounty of the Keen-Eyed
After a long, long hiatus from the platform, I thought my first “I’m BACK!” post should be nothing short of spectacular! So here’s my newest infinite mana combo... In mono-green.
The Pieces
The Combo
Let’s break it down! (with mana count at the end of each step to help you keep track) Start with Nylea, Keen-Eyed on the field with Karametra’s Acolyte and Temur Sabertooth. 1) Tap the Acolyte for four green mana. (4 green mana) 2) Use two of the green mana to cast a Hyrax Tower Scout at reduced cost from Nylea’s static ability. On etb, target and untap the Acolyte. (2 green mana) 3) Tap the Acolyte for five green mana. (7 green mana) 4) Using two of the green mana, activate Temur Sabertooth, bouncing the Scout back to hand. (5 green mana) 5) Using two more green mana, recast the Scout, targeting Acolyte on etb. (3 green mana) 6) Tap the Acolyte for five green mana. (8 green mana) 7) Use four green mana to bounce and replay the Hyrax Tower Scout, untapping the Acolyte. (4 green mana)
If you’re keeping track, each looping of the Hyrax Tower Scout and tapping/untapping Karametra’s Acolyte will net us one green mana. With this, we can use Nylea, Keen-Eyed’s ability to filter thru our deck for the creatures we want and cast them.
With enough excess mana, you can cast and bounce a Craterhoof an excessive amount of times-...
... -or destroy all your opponents’ noncreature permanents. The choices are yours!
This was our MTGinktober for “Teeming,” starring Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Dang How Do You Spell This! Anyway, I love this card for its little known flavor text:
One bone broken for every land placed over creature.
—Gilt Leaf Wood penalty for Lands-In-Fronting
Truer words, am I right?

Dinosaur Watch 2018 ~ The Hits Just Keep On Coming
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the jungle, Wizards has granted us yet more pieces for the ever-expanding Dinosaur deck! While Gigantosaurus’ strict five-green cost is a little harsh, it can definitely be alleviated with some of the tools that the deck already has at its disposal, not the least of which is Gishath himself, and while it is a vanilla 10/10, that huge size is nothing to sneer at. Meanwhile, Runic Armasaur is a great three-mana utility piece that can deter opponents from certain plays and help draw cards in the right environment. These are both sweet new options for the ongoing evolution of the deck, and it’ll be interesting to see what they add to the list once they arrive.
On my way to Monochromes “For some, monochromes are the pure and perfect expression of an artist's talent, for others, they are yet another scam stamped as contemporary art. One thing is certain, the history of these curious genre paintings is captivating, and opens the way to many debates. For those who are unfamiliar with the concept of monochromes, they are artworks made from a single color. Obviously, this color can be shaded, and the effects of texture, shine or material can also bring a particularity to the final artwork.” Natalia Rose Copenhagen #nataliaroseartist #nataliarose #contemporaryart #monogreen #monoblack #monochrome #impressionism #suprematism https://www.instagram.com/p/COFMa2grvhc/?igshid=18uvo2j8clqou
