“Desert Finnasaur”

These friendly desert dwelling dragons live a laid back and carefree existence but are always willing to help travelers reach their destinations, the only form of compensation that they require is a little snack. Considering their size, they must be very successful at their jobs… whenever they’re not napping or snacking, they can be seen dashing and swimming through the desert dunes at surprisingly high speeds.

“Drake Grunt”

This flightless dragon would rather pick up an axe than grow a pair of wings, don’t be fooled by their appearance as they can be quite skilled with their weapon of choice. Because of this, they’re often seen working with humans and otherworld beings as warriors, mercenaries, or even pirates and highwaymen.

I wanted to match up animals which would suit J the best, with the main goal to focus on strenght and stealth. I thought it would be funny when J uses his bat wings (he can't fly) as comouflage to scared the hell out of his prey/victims

Ever since I saw Falin's dragon design, I fell deeply in love. Her form is majestic and flashy but overall lacks a lot of function. So I aimed for some practical forms :))

Nevertheless, I love her design so much. She could rip my heart out if she wanted (she would just kill me)

Kobold variant: Red

(The start of a series about more draconic kobolds.)

Physicality:

Larger than most kobolds and physically stronger

Heat resistant

Elder (old, skilled kobolds) might have a natural fire breath weapon

Spellcasting (?): Bane, Produce flame, burning hands, fire bolt, create bonfire, heat metal, etc.

Personality:

More hotheaded, angry

Violent

Greedy (Large hoards)

See themselves as better than other kobolds.

Battle notes: Will never flee or surrender. Possibly add barbarian traits or skills to a few.

Lair:

Fire/lava in areas

Mountainous areas preferred.

Grissly trophies

(Maybe include lair actions of Red dragons that the kobolds have manufactured themselves)

. Werewolf that runs a shelter for stray cats

. Merperson astronaut

. Dragon (or other fire related creature) firefighter

. Drider pest control worker

. Mothman electrician

. Insect creature that raises frogs

. Some kind of were-molerat creature that runs their own high end clothing business

. Vampire that's afraid of needles and/or blood

. Werewolf that's afraid of dogs

. Werebear that makes stuffed teddy bears

. A faefolk that is actually really bad at dancing

. Avian-like creatures working with merpeople to restore and protect the ocean

. Vampire that sells mirrors and/or cameras (quick little trivia, the idea of vampires not having reflections likely came from the fact that mirrors used to be made of silver, which, as we know, is a weakness to most monsters or supernatural creatures. so in the modern day, vampires likely would have reflections!)

. Vegetarian or vegan werewolf

. The idea that a monster society would just accept the fact that werebears would have to take a very extended period of time off work in the winter bc they're hibernating

. A creature associated with death (like the grim reaper) liking really cutesy things

. Vampires hanging out on a sunny beach not at all bothered by the sun, mingling with some human goths dressed in full black and avoiding the sun at all costs

. A really sweet looking plant creature that headbangs to heavy metal

. Minotaur that runs a steakhouse

. The "city man x country girl" thing except they're centaurs and maybe lesbians too

. Werebear and/or werewolf x a cervitaur

Ok I've run out of brain juice but if I think of more I'll let you know lol

I'm going to take a long time to recover from these because they are MOST EXCELLENT!! I won't cheapen your ideas by adding anything of my own, other than a wee little keyboard smash - asldkjf;alskdjf - and a doff of my metaphorical hat to you.

Driders (specifically ones based off of peacock spiders) doing a little dance when they want to ask someone out/get in a relationship with someone is an adorable concept. Of course, it'd be really confusing for someone who isn't a drider.

Not all creatures are hostile in all situations, and communities will sometimes protect them

Below off top of my head

Wyrm-souls: congenital condition of unknown origin . Tend to be accepted by human family in many agrarian communities with only causing problems with territorial battles against other wyrm souls. Can either transform into a dragon/magical serpent* or project a bestial form as they slumber that acts independently.Tend to be accepted by full on biological magical reptiles (magical serpents and what many would call dragons) as one of their own, even if that is as an enemy or opponent. Biological matter in transformed state similar to fae and merpeople in composition, and not entirely normal

*the classification of magical reptilian creatures and spirits is endlessly debated

Idea : were sharks are the one supernatural offshoot of humanity that transforms with bites where the change is so easily resisted as to be the point. For the condition to become permanent requires a ritual, otherwise the magic will fade with time. Many transform normal human lovers temporarily, and the normal human returns to their everyday life once the tryst ends. These aquatic shapeshifters allow dangerous animals in their territory, but will fiercely fight off any other supernatural creature that might harm humans. Some cynical people will note that saving normal humans from dangerous wildlife is how many sharkshifters meet their lovers, and some other supernatural entities mock them for “requiring” a rush of adrenaline to make a good first impression. Due to their generally benign nature and the superstitions of sailors against betraying their trust, most communities are tight lipped and protective of them. Many monster hunting organizations even regard them as fictional
