My design of a Moonstone gem for Steven Universe. I may have plans for her eventually, if I can ever get off my tushy and/or stick to one fandom for more than a nano-second.

Steven Universe OC Story

It’s not a piece of writing, it’s just me talking about my OCs- Selenite, Hematite, Selenite’s Pearl, Black star Diopside, Petalite, Pietersite, and Moonstone as well as three ruby guards.

Selenite gems are similar to Sapphire in rank, but instead of seeing a future they can astral project, sort of. They’re sent to uncolonized planets to see what work needs to be done to become the most optimal colony possible. They take their conciousness out of their body and fly around a planet like that to see the condition.

Hematite can touch other gem’s to see what they’re thinking, so they’re often used in court proceedings. If they aren’t they usually have gloves on so that nothing goes awry. 

One Selenite comes out perfectly. Silhouette is outstanding, it’s all glass inside her hole, there’s just one problem. Her gem is where her mouth should be and she can’t speak. Rather than shatter her, White Diamond gave her a Hematite for her to communicate along with a Pearl. 

Along with a team of three ruby guards- Alpha, Beta, and Rosie, they go out to planets. The six of them are always together and become, well, really good friends. Selenite was witty, and loved her alone time, and the time they spent with out her let Pearl and Hematite even fall in love. Selenite was overjoyed for them. 

They loved the planets they looked at. They took longer and longer on each planet, not just to work out the issues though they were praised for how thorough they were. Each place was beautiful, and one day, Selenite thought they should run away. Everyone was excited when Hematite told them, and they started planning their getaway. 

White Diamond began to become suspicious when a few missions took longer than what was necessary, even longer than usual. She sent an Agate with an few escorts. Everything seemed fine, if slow, until the Agate saw something atrocious.

Pearl and Hematite fused right in front of them. They created an abomination- Pietersite. 

The Selenite was not disgusted. The rubies seemed excited. They all seemed excited. 

The Agate returned to WD immediately.

On their return, WD had them immediately put on trial. Selenite was given another Hematite, and was the first to speak. 

She convinced the diamonds it was all her fault, that through reading her imperfect thoughts it had made Hematite imperfect, and it spread like that. She convinced them that if she was shattered, everything would be fine. 

She was shattered right there.

Just as it happened, while she was light for a second, Hematite dove for her and they fused. There were shards of Selenite all around her mouth. 

Before there was time to marvel at herself, Black Star Diopside had to move. Yellow Diamond tried to blast her, but she was too nimble. In a fit of rage, the diamonds turned to the Pearl, about to shatter it. Shatter her painfully. 

BSD dove for her now, spinning her into a dip, and then they fused. All three of them together made something incredible.

Moonstone. 

Moonstone was able to run away, but not before Blue had the thought to reset Alpha, Beta, and Rosie. The three of them would never remember Moonstone and her parts.

Moonstone stole a ship and managed to get away. She destroyed the tracking unit, and that was their home for 3000 years, just drifting through space instead of using fuel.

They could never unfuse or Selenite would  die. Sure, they would unfuse and either Hematite or Pearl would be out for a bit, but one of them always had to be with Selenite.

When Hematite was out, Pearl and Selenite made Petalite and Hematite would do matinence on the ship. When Pearl was out, they were Black Star Diopside and Pearl could project stories and holograms for entertainment from her gem.

Most of the time, they liked to all be together. Selenite missed being alone. Pearl and Hematite missed being able to have a romance.

One day, they land on earth. The crystal gems come to investigate, and they find Moonstone, wandering with her toes in the sand, dancing under the sky. It’s so much joy.

Steven is able to heal Selenite until she’s cracked, not shattered. 

They can unfuse. 

Pietersite lives mostly as a permafusion with Selenite as a roommate, but they all fuse and unfuse together all the time, and now it gets to be a choice for all of them every time.

Hey Moonstone, what did you think of Pink Diamond?

What do I think of Pink Diamond?

....I’m a bit surprised. And lost as to how I’m supposed to feel. Doesn’t all this mean Steven is my Aunt now? And is he the Legal owner of the Earth?

I think this proves to me that Pink was leagues better than my mother and other two Aunts. Thought she was young, she wanted to protect life. She saw beauty where my family saw only another possible colony.....
