Update🐞

Hey!

I know, I was gone for a very long time. Like, one whole year without any news.

I want to update you guys. Even if no one is reading this. Even if no one that followed me back in the days reads this.

First of all, I want to thanks y'all a lot. For some reason, 2024 was a horrible year for me. No friends, no dreams, no job or college, nothing.

And, it's so silly/corny to say but, the support y'all were giving me for my drawings (likes, comments, reshare...) was a light in my word of darkness. I had few people following me and I was so happy to post everyday.

But one day, it just broke. Everything. I was really unstable and I never post again here. I didn't draw for a while too.

But I finally got a job. I'm going to college to be an elementary teacher, this september. I have money now. I'm moving to my first appartement soon. I even cut my hair. AND, I started drawing again. Like, for real (started again in April).

Even though it was difficult, I did my best to draw a new path for my life. I know this isn't my dream, like the plan A, but that will do for now. I know I'll be a pro artist one day. I believe it. ✨

But anyway.

I'm going to start posting again. No more drawing challenge unfortunately, but that's okay. I'm very proud of my improvements that I did back then.

I'm not going to post full paragraphs on every post like I did. BUT, the spirit is still here : I'm trying to be better at art, again. So I'm gonna post pretty much everything I want, with or without explanations. Wip or finished illustration. I want Tumblr to be quite messy with my art.

Day 16 of my art challenge. ☄️

Sixteenth day of september (September theme's is finding my art style. I've got a lot of references for this theme, I want to be confident with an art style. So here am I !). 🌱

Today's was about digital painting, color studies and trying to find my art style with colors and lines.

I mean, it ain't bad but it's not what I want. It's too realistic for me and I prefer something more like semi-realism/manhua. Especially for the nose and lips (I hate doing realistic lips tho...). Also, the hair is also a big crazy but I'm trying to do a specific art style. Trust the process. Gotta continue tomorrow.

I wanted to draw something quick and good looking, so I drew stylized outfits in chibi art-style. I really love the diversity in shapes and in the different styles.

Today's was about dynamism, art-style, line-art, dynamic lines and stylized outfit. I really like the style, even more because chibi style need to be dynamic and need thick and cool line-art. I think I did the job right. Help me giving more confidence to my lover btw. Look at him, he slays sm 🎀

Will see what to do tomorrow. Maybe a quick drawing too (feeling sick).

I continued my tomorrow wip's without any big hopes. But that turned SO GOOD. Everything in here is what I want for my future definitive art style. To be fair, I was kinda stressed because I thought that I was not making much progress. But clearly, it's a lot of progress since the beginning of my journey. Dang.

I really love this illustration. Today's working about digital painting, color studies and stylized colors, texture, art style and so much more. Today's was a great art day. Art is arting. Will see what to do tomorrow tho.

Sooo, today's was about lighting and shadows, and colors. It was SO HARD and I HATE doing this drawing. It's looking good only because I'm proud of this piece of art not looking like a total mess lmao. I kinda took some times doing this tho.

I think I'm gonna do some sketches tomorrow. Y'all seems to like how my sketches looks and I need to develop my line art tho. Will see!

Thirty day (27-30) of september (September theme's is finding my art style. I've got a lot of references for this theme, I want to be confident with an art style. So here am I !). 🌱

Late post again. And... It's not even finished. Let me get this straight : I had two mental breakdowns, big fatigue and this illustration was so hard to do. The anatomy and all... I felt so guilty about doing nothing. But then I remembered : this is MY challenge. I'm NOT mentally stable. It's okay to not finished this piece right in time because I had issues. It's okay to struggle. So, I'll try to finish this when I can. I still love it tho, even though it's not perfect.

Like I said, this illustration is a mix of everything I learned during September. I'm not gonna list everything I did work on, but I'll say it's a great conclusion for next month theme's (anatomy). I'm gonna show all the different versions.

First one. Loving it but the anatomy of the wings and the composition isn't right.

Still working on the wings but eh. I understood it wasn't it.

Changing the wings and it's way better. But... Still missing some drama.

Continuing the drama before the definitive version of the first sketch you saw at the top of the post.

Day 4 of my art challenge. 🐿️

Last day, I'll say that I wanted to try my challenge on digital. And oh boy, does it looks good !!!

My art looks so much better in digital, since... My beginning in the art club, in fact. 🦔

Anyway. Today's about lineart, dynamic poses and perspective. The result is so good. I have few versions tho, in case you're not liking those sketchy colors. I'm actually so proud!!

day 15 of my art challenge. 🥀

Fifteenth day of september (September theme's is finding my art style. I've got a lot of references for this theme, I want to be confident with an art style. So here am I !). 🌱

Today's was a bit better for me. I was very inspired and made 3 beautiful wips. I wanted to train my digital painting, so here I am.

First one was about contrast and values, and also doing digital painting without having guidelines. I LOVE the result so much. The art style and all. It's looking amazing. Second one was also working on the same things (+ color studies and art style), but here is the twist.

It's the same exact picture of my first ever color and fruit study. Here is the first one.

See that difference? I'm actually very proud of myself for this journey.

Last one is actually the first drawing I made today. I really love the concept of fallen angel. Might be edgy but I think It looks super cool. I was thinking doing a final illustration every month with everything I learned so far. And this wip might be the start of that illustration. What do y'all think about this concept ? Should I do that ? Anyways, I will be continuing this drawing for sure.
