Moving Days
@hiddeninflame
“Thanks for the help, Z.” Jonathan said, hugging his brother around the neck. They hardly looked like brothers, with Z tall and lanky with sunny blonde highlights in his pale brown hair, and Jon small with dark shaggy hair. But both of them had long fine hands, poking noses, and stared out at the world with large blue eyes from under long lashes. Enough similarities that they could be guessed to be family, really.
Z, however, knew how to drive, and so had been asked by his little brother to help him move to his new apartment. Luckily, the place wasn’t hard to get up to, and Jonathan didn’t work on big canvases or in stone, yet. Most of his items -- books and papers and art materials -- were fitted into boxes, with the largest items being the furniture, which either was small enough to be carried or would be reassembled inside the apartment.
Once Z was gone, Jonathan had spent hours pacing around, arranging his space. Shouldn’t an interior designer look, well, up to date? But he preferred his decorations this way -- plenty of light and air, and every available shelf that didn’t have artwork and tools filled with books. The kitchen was small and tidy and old-fashioned in its decoration, dull quiet colors instead of the brighter primary shades so popular at the moment.
Finally, it was in a state he was willing to agree with, and Jonathan decided to step out to meet his neighbors, if any.
“Hello!” he called to the figure across the hall.
I'll be moving for the fourth time in my life to another state - SC; the third southern state.
Afterwards, to the Dominican Republic with dysfunctional family members waiting. Just have to wait for the processes for dual citizenship.
my groomer died in 2009.
my mother and I still kept his laminated obituary with us; he died of complications from diabetes. It was raining at his funeral; so many people....an old woman asked my mother straight to our fucking faces while we grieved at his coffin
"Where you Brent's lady?"
That should've been the first and only red flag we needed to have gotten out of that Baptist church....but no. In that particular church, A HISPANIC WOMAN CAN ONLY BE ACCEPTED IF SHE THROWS HER FAT LATINA ASS AT A 'helpless White Man'; basically sleep with one of the church members THEN YOUR UNWORTHY HISPANIC PUSSY CAN EVEN BE EVER CONSIDERED FOR SALVATION.
In 2023 I found that old laminated obituary...and cut it out and tore more of it with scissors and added it to the waste basket with the excrement and piss that HE TRULY BELONGED IN.
I'm tired of that church and I want no contact with them; that hippie introduced us to that church after a fit of religious rage. Fuck you Brent, and Fuck that Baptist Church; those sermons "for the young folks" NEVER APPLIED TO ME TO BEGIN WITH YOU IGNORANT HILLBILLIES WITH RACIST DOUBLE STANDARDS; CLEARLY WHITE WOMEN COULD DO WHATEVER THEY WANTED AND I WAS THEIR PERSONAL SCAPEGOAT BY WHITE TRASH FOR MORE THAN 7 YEARS UNTIL I MOVED TOWNS.
Moving Days
he'd gone to bed at 1 am and eventually fallen asleep at 10 am. he'd gotten out of bed at 4 pm. it was now a little after 6 pm. he felt like going back to bed. he'd now not seen daylight for over a week. if not for the constant flow of manmade chemicals seeping into his bone and sinew he would have nothing to feel a companionship with. his moving days were gradually coming to their close. it is an organised fact and it has befallen all of humanity. we are too asleep to have noticed. we are too distracted to take notice.
im about to move my whole existence to tumblr just yall wait
