Summary: Scott has a nonexistent relationship with his family, so when he gets an invite to Sara's wedding he has no intention of going or even telling Reyes until Reyes finds the invite and talks him into it.

Note: SO. This one has morphed into something a bit different than it was originally intended to be and as a result has actually become quite special to me... even though I kinda swore I'd never write this fic in any way, shape, or form. But sometimes life throws you curveballs.

“She’s your sister.”

Scott snorts with laughter and rolls his eyes.

“You keep saying that like it’s supposed to mean something to me.”

But... he knows Reyes is right. As usual.

And so does Reyes.

The bastard.

Scott sighs.

“If it’s really so terrible,” Reyes continues, finally closing the distance and sliding his arms around Scott’s waist, pulling him closer, a ridiculous grin on his face that has Scott smiling in spite of himself. “Then we’ll just leave and spend the week on our own having an amazing time, just the two of us. Deal?”

Scott just stares at him for a moment. “You promise?”

Reyes answers him with a kiss.

Then Scott sighs again.

“I guess this means we need to go airfare hunting now.”

But Reyes' grin reappears.

“Actually... I already bought us tickets...”
