Mr. and Mrs. Frost (Tony Stark and Emma Frost) for Valentine's Day

This art was done for the @marvelrarepairbingo Valentine's Day Mini Event to the art prompt "Holding Hands". I figured it's been a minute since we had some Tony and Emma together so I wanted to bring something to Valentine's Day for them. Even though it's comic themed, RDJ is such a great muse so I went with his Tony for this vector art just because it felt fun to do. It was a quiet afternoon in the barracks, and everyone was preparing for a new mission. As usual, Steve and Bucky were talking quietly about what was going to happen. You had been preparing the strategy, making sure everything was ready for when the team left.

“It's going to be easy today,” Bucky said as he adjusted his bulletproof vest. “Right, Steve?”

“Yes, I hope everything goes well.”

Before you could say anything, however, the team prepared to leave, and the mission began.

The mission was deceptively simple: infiltrate an enemy base and gather crucial information about HYDRA's movements. Everything was going according to plan until they reached the area near the base. The sound of explosions began to echo in the distance, but for no apparent reason. That's when a couple of grenades landed near you, throwing you all to the ground.

“You've got to be kidding me!” shouted Bucky as he took cover behind a rock. Explosions followed, and the sound of shrapnel filled the air.

You, crouched low and heart racing, looked at Steve and Bucky. Although the explosions had not hit them directly, the echoes of the detonations kept them all alert. “We've got to move!” you shouted through the noise.

Quickly, Steve and Bucky scrambled to their feet and covered you as you ran to the next safe zone. The ground was shaking under your feet, and the heat from the explosions was in the air, but there was no time to dwell on that.

As you moved forward, you were met with more resistance. Suddenly, a nearby explosion caused the ground to crumble around them. All three were thrown through the air. Steve's body crashed to the ground, and Bucky was pushed into a wall. You fell to the ground, but not without seeing Steve quickly get up.

“Don't do this to me, Steve!” You shouted as you ran towards him. Bucky was already on his feet, helping you up.

“Are you okay?” he asked you as you both looked at Steve, who was still struggling to catch his breath after the fall.

“I'm fine,” Steve said. “Come on, quick!”

Time seemed to stand still as they prepared to face the worst. Every corner was filled with dust and debris, and the sound of explosions created a constant ringing in their ears. Suddenly, a large explosion nearby sent them crashing back to the ground, and when the sparks and smoke cleared, the three encountered a new threat: a group of HYDRA soldiers.

Bucky and Steve rushed forward, without thinking of the risks. Your heart was pounding as you watched them; you knew you had to do something to help them. So, without a second thought, you ran to a nearby structure where you knew you could cause a distraction. With a pair of explosives in your hands, you focused on the task.

“Leave it to me!” you shouted. With a huge explosion, the structure collapsed, blocking the soldiers' path and giving Steve and Bucky the time they needed to take out the remaining enemies. The detonation echoed across the field, and the shower of debris was a clear sign that the battle was not over.

Steve looked at you from afar, worried, but you smiled and gave him a nod of approval. You knew what you were doing. Finally, after several minutes of intense gunfire and explosions, the situation calmed down, although dust and smoke still filled the air.

Finally, the mission was over, and the three were reunited.

“Are you okay?” asked Bucky to Steve as he helped him to his feet. Steve nodded.

“Yeah, just... a little more than I expected,” Steve said with a smile. “But we made it.”

“We should get out of here before another explosion happens,” you suggested, looking around.
