In an attempt to break tradition and actually do a short snippet for once (lololol) here is a little scene I just finished for a future chapter of @sunny374940 & I's crazy Cowboy AU! 🤠

Ayla, never more invested in a game of chess in her entire fuckin' life

"What's this one?" Ayla asked, flirtatiously leaning into Emmrich's shoulder.

"A mage, darling."

She smirked. "'Course it is. It's tall, just like you."

Em chuckled and beamed up at her before nodding across the table. "What about you, Bull?"

"Tamassran."

Emmrich made a pleased hum and repeated the name in Qunlat, momentarily distracting her. "What about the horsey?" she asked.

"Knight."

"Ben-Hassrath."

Ayla nodded, leaning further into Emmrich when she pointed to one of the only unique pieces on his side of the board. "And the one with the cute little hat?"

"The queen, dear."

"Arishok. Like our Ise." Emmrich raised a curious brow, and Bull explained, "'War-leader'."

"Ah, of course," Emmrich hummed, smiling at her. "Due to the extraordinarily versatile and powerful nature of the piece, I presume." Ayla fucking blushed, and Tal rolled his eyes as he wandered in to join them. But Bull just let out another loud laugh.

"Domineering, more like," he teased, making Tal choke on his wine.

Ayla flipped them off behind Emmrich's head, who surprised her by turning to shoot a sly smirk her way. "Looks like you've been promoted, darling." He snickered when she gave him a confused look. "From First Warden, to Arishok."

Tal damn near spilled his wine across the fucking chess board he laughed so hard, Bull and Emmrich right along with him. Ayla begrudgingly joined in, even though the look Em was giving her was gettin' her all hot and bothered. And fuck if he didn't notice it was making her feel something at least, given the sexy little wink he gave her too.

Cristales rotos (Blindsprings fanfic)

¿Por qué siempre lo obligaba a lastimarla? Aparto la vista del grácil cuerpo femenino que yacía inconsciente entre cristales rotos.

No podía simplemente ser una vez en su vida obediente y dejar que se la llevaran tranquilamente de su hogar, guardando silencio para evitar cualquier palabra que pudiera ser usada en su contra, en especial si la habían descubierto leyendo historia órfica a las niñas, ensuciando sus mentes con supersticiones sin sentido. No, pero como siempre ella tenía que dar problemas, abrir la boca sobre como sus hijas debían conocer su herencia órfica, que se arrepentiría de su trato hacia los órficos, delante de un gran número de académicos con orden de arresto en su contra ¿En que estaba pensando en ese momento? ¿Dar más razones para encerrarla o simplemente molestarlo? ¿No pensó en un momento en las consecuencias?

Pero la cereza del pastel, fue en que en un movimiento estúpido, ella opuso resistencia usando magia órfica, mostrándose delante de todos ellos como la amenaza que pensaban que era.

¿Por qué hizo eso? Eran muchos contra ella, incluso si su ataque hacia él no hubiera fallado apropósito (Única decisión cuerda que tomo), era poco probable que fuera lo suficientemente rápida para acabar con los demás antes que sacaran sus propias cartas. Solo lograrían posponer lo inevitable y ser gravemente herida.

Ahora sus hijas lo veían como el villano que arresto y muy posiblemente mato a su madre, sin ningún motivo aparente, excepto que ella les leía un libro de historia órfica sin nada grave o peligro ¿Acaso no comprendían que cualquier cosa órfica era motivo de sospecha? ¿Qué lo mejor de manera de protegerlas era borrar todo rastro órfico de ellas para poder prosperar en esta sociedad? ¿Qué por ello era mejor sacar de sus vidas a su madre antes que la expusiera a mas peligro? Pero solo obtuvo lágrimas como respuesta, lágrimas de rostros inocentes que antes solo conocían la dicha, lagrimas brillantes como cristales, cristales rotos donde ella estaba tendida gracias a él. Aparto otra vez la vista, eso era culpa de ella, por ser irresponsable, egoísta e impulsiva, de no poner resistencia estaría cómodamente en la celda preparada para ella sin rasguño alguno, en lugar de estar tirada en el suelo rodeada de sus queridos cristales mágicos, mas importantes para ella que la seguridad de su familia.

Ahora mientras la tiraban a su celda como un saco de papas (Después de conseguir disimuladamente que le dieran atención médica) no pudo evitar pensar que se lo merecía. Con suerte el encierro la haría reflexionar sobre su comportamiento, y sino la soledad la haría darse cuenta de lo que sacrifico por su “Orgullo órfico”. Si ella se lo busco, ella las sacrifico, lo sacrifico a él, no fue al revés como le gritaba mientras lloraban y le suplicaba ver a sus hijas, no fue ella siempre ella, ella era todo, ella era lo único…ella era la causa de todo…sin ella… no deseaba pensar en ninguna otra cosa que no fuese ella , incluso si eran cristales rotos.
