How much Pacific Rim backround is required aside from watching both movies? I’d be willing since I like winterhawk and your fics. (I re-read Indelible and Puck Luck all the time.)

I’d say that would be enough - you’re at least familiar with the world and the concepts in it so that should work out. I play around with drifting but it should be easy to follow. I’m mostly looking for characterizations and spelling and grammar help and the ever popular ‘does this work’ and the like. I’ll send you an ask with my email.

Do you craft, and if so, what kind/s of craft do you do? If not, are there any you want to learn?

Nope, unless you count baking or making some kinds of jewellery for my mom, but that’s out of necessity ‘cause she likes them but I’m not particularly good at it.

Favourite dinner recipe - and either a brief description of how to make it or a link to the recipe.

Hmm, well, I don’t really make a lot of dinners?? So my favourite recipe, I do make a really good chocolate cake with cookies, but I can’t share the recipe just like that ‘cause is my grandma’s, someone wants it you have to ask me privately ;)

Beach, lake or river, and why?

To watch, love the ocean or lakes, but to be close to them? Rivers, I love the sound!! Specially if they are close to trees?? Is like wow for me!!

What are you looking forward  to?

A day of rest, without screaming or problems with my parents, sadly I don’t think is ever coming

I love Sarah Brightman’s is one of the reasons why I decided to learn and be totally good at English, or sir Ian’s McKellen, oh my lord, that man’s voice is soooooooooo awesome!!

I have a scar in my hand that happened ‘cause when I was 4 years old I wanted to see how my hand looked after being squeezed!! :D

Can I just ditto your post? I have 415 currently in my inbox that looks so daunting. I feel really bad about not responding, but RL got uber crazy and I'm trying to preserve what little time I do have for fandom to wording.

Ditto away! I marked everything in my inbox as read and it’s so much less daunting now. I can respond to comments as they arrive rather than opening my inbox and running away.

When RL gets on top of us, needing to respond to feedback can make us feel pretty guilty when we don’t do it, because those comments have helped us and brightened our day during the crazy RL stress. We want to thank and acknowledge the people who provided that bit of brightness. But at the same time, if we’re paddling madly just to keep up with RL and preserve a tiny bit of energy for other things, something has to go.

When I’ve had enough spoons to do more than simply get through the work day and feed myself, I’ve had to make a choice between writing and keeping up with correspondence. I get one spoon left over and I’ve bee choosing to use it for writing. My fandom communication has been purely through Twitter because it’s a very low-spoon venue.

That’s changing for me, hopefully, but nobody should feel like they *have* to use their small allowance of spoons to keep up with comments if another part of fandom--the creating part--is what keeps their brain in a better place.
