Rewatching Once Upon a Time (with only Aurora and Mulan scenes)
We know that Phillip and Aurora are to be wed, but of course Maleficent cursed both of them before the wedding then there's also the dark curse. They really really haven't tied the knot yet so, before S3 there might still be a chance for Mulan ya know. However, they dropped the bomb by Philora having a baby.
It was a noble choice for Mulan not to profess her love to Aurora. I mean there's really no other choice? It was the best course of action for that circumstance since their story will never develop.
BUT hear me out, I NEVER saw a ring on Aurora's finger (even after she was in Storybrooke)
Or I'm just blind? (Intentionally or not)
I'm just thinking, IF the writers explored more of Mulan and Aurora's journey to save Phillip, there *might* be a thing. Since that didn't happen let's move on after the heartbreaking scene.
I'm assuming that I didn't see any ring on Aurora's finger because 1) She and Phillip were rebuilding their kingdom, postponing the wedding (but why already have a child??? Is that their way of being tied together). 2) In one of the episodes, there might be a ring, just hidden underneath her gloves
From my observation of auora without a ring, technically, Philora aren't married yet. It's complicated but given the chance, even if Aurora is pregnant she might still love another in the process. Idk where that might be going, like I said, it's complicated.
