گزشتہ ماہ اکتوبر میں ایک امریکی عدالت نے ملٹی نیشنل کمپنی ’جانسن اینڈ جانسن‘ کو دماغی مسائل کی دوا کے منفی اثرات پر پاکستانی کم سے کم 13 کھرب روپے کا جرمانہ عائد کیا تھا۔

বিশেষ প্রতিনিধি: বহুজাতিক সংস্থা জনসন এন্ড জনসন সারা পৃথিবীকে ভুল যন্ত্র বিক্রি করে ঠকাচ্ছে। আমেরিকার রোগীদের তারা কোটি কোটি টাকা ক্ষতিপূরণ বাবদে দিতে বাধ্য হচ্ছে কোর্টের নির্দেশে। কিন্তু এই দেশের কোনো রোগীকে তারা ক্ষতিপূরণের টাকা দেয়নি। উল্টে এই ব্যাপারে সরকারি নির্দেশকে চ্যালেঞ্জ করেছে। এই ভুলের ঘটনা ঘটেছে কোমর মেরামতির জন্য ওদের হিপ ইমপ্ল্যান্ট যন্ত্র বসানোর ক্ষেত্রে। মার্কিন মুলুকে ৬ হাজার অভিযোগকারীকে ক্ষতিপূরণ বাবদ ওরা দিয়েছে প্রায় ১ বিলিয়ন মার্কিন ডলার। গত ১০ বছর ধরে ওরা পিনাকেল হিপ ইমপ্ল্যান্ট মানুষের শরীরে বসানোর জন্য বেচেছে। ২০১৩ সালে বাধ্য হয়ে ইমপ্ল্যান্ট ওরা ব্যানার থেকে তুলে নিয়েছে। ভারতের বহু রোগীর শরীরে এই ইমপ্ল্যান্ট যন্ত্র বসানো হয়েছে। কিছু হাসপাতালের সঙ্গে ডাক্তারদের যোগসাজশে এই ব্যবসা চলেছে বলে নির্ভরযোগ্য সূত্রের খবর। কলকাতা বা দেশের কোথাও এই সংস্থা ভুল স্বীকার করেনি।রোগীরা যন্ত্রণা ও কষ্টে দিন কাটাচ্ছেন। ভারতে ওদের ভুল চিকিৎসার বলি প্রায় ৫ হাজার।সরকারি নির্দেশ মত এঁদের কাউকে ২০ লাখ, কাউকে ১ কোটি ২২ লাখ টাকা দেবার কথা। কিন্তু জনসন বলেছে সব ঠিক আছে। টাকা দেব না। বহুজাতিক সংস্থার টাকার জোরে সব মুখ বন্ধ করে আছে বলে কিছু চিকিসক ও রোগীদের অভিযোগ। এদিকে ভুল চিকিৎসার বলি সাধারণ মানুষগুলি দোরে দোরে ঘুরছেন বিচারের আশায়।
