I love fandoms and interacting with fandom members but some of you bitches are CRAZY. Why did I just see some poor person get flamed in a TikTok comment section (of a dickbabs post, mind you) FOR SHIPPING DICKBABS?? LIKE??? HAVE THESE PEOPLE NEVER HEARD OF MULTI-SHIPPING??? I love dick and Kori as much as the next person but you guys act like they’re the ONLY dick/Kori ship that matters. They can be and have been shipped with other people!! Dick x Wally? Dick x Babs? Dick x Roy? Kori x Donna? Kori x Babs?? Kori x me?? Like guys cmon it’s especially not cool to throw a whole fucking fit because someone doesn’t share the same dedication to a ship as you do

As a multishipper, regardless of “validity” I tend to like ships more when the people shipping it clearly like the character(s) involved and less when they clearly don’t.

Sure, if we’re gonna compare the non-endgame Naruto ships, KibaHina and SasuKarin have way more canon interactions and actual bonds than SasuHina, who’ve barely interacted, but the people who ship them are more likely to dislike Hinata and/or Sasuke and mostly do so as a means of “getting them out of the way.” ESPECIALLY KibaHina, I do quite like SasuKarin because I have still found more than enough shippers who genuinely love/understand Sasuke, although it’s still a toss-up whether they’ll be a Sasuke fan or hater. KibaHina on the other hand? I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen a KH shipper who genuinely loves and understands Hinata and doesn’t bash/devalue her in other posts. SasuHina shippers often tend to genuinely love and understand both characters involved so that’s why I’m more into it than either SK or KH.

Sure, if Sanji from One Piece ends up with anyone it will probably be Pudding but honestly? Most shippers of that pairing either hate him or misunderstand him. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen a SanPu shipper who doesn’t bash or demonize Sanji in their other posts OR (if they claim to be a fan of him) grossly misunderstands his characterization in WCI and takes his scenes with Pudding out of context to misrepresent him. This correlation soured the ship for me and made it hard to enjoy. SaNami and Sanji x Viola fans on the other hand? They’re more likely to actually love and understand Sanji, hence why I love those ships more and tend to seek content for them out. Oda may have said “no romance between the Straw Hats” and a Viola/Sanji reunion is unlikely, but that doesn’t change the fact the fans who ship them are less like to bash/mischaracterize Sanji than those who ship him with his “most likely endgame.”

The Pitt and Yellowjackets are such awesome shows for found family and also for multi-shipping because every single duo of characters you can come up with have their own incredibly complex unique dynamic. They're both very well balanced out ensemble casts where we care about every character. All the relationships are very loosely defined it leaves so much room for the imagination while showing rather than telling us the deep bonds that exist between the characters, whether it's interpreted as romantic or platonic.

Unhinged multi-shipping is the happiest way to ship in my experience. So many wonderful things to enjoy!

And yes, S2 made me love Sevinx! Jinx, Sevika, and Isha came so close to being a found family unit and I would have *killed* to see it go in that direction. Arcane seriously dropped the ball in sidelining Sevika on the backend of S2.

As much as I like the concept of soulmates, I think people can forget that exes are allowed. This is how I approach multi-shipping if a polygamous option isn't compatible. (Meaning one person gets left out to equal love.)

You don't have to make ten different universes for each ship. That "for funsies" ship can work as a past relationship. People change as they age. Maybe that first partner was exactly what they needed in a friend, ultimately pushing for romance/commitment they didn't actually want. Maybe a partner died, leaving them feeling like fully loving their soulmate would be a betrayal. Maybe their soulmate is completely opposite to their past tastes, confusing both of them. Maybe have the exes come to test that special soulmate bond.
