so my knee/ankle surgery is scheduled for January. barely any preparation. it’s not like I’m scared I just wish I had more preparation.

I know it’s been a long time we posted on this. Life’s been pretty hard. We’re both busy with school and going to the hospital. Now we have some time during the pandemic. I hope everyone is safe and healthy ( as you can be ). I promise from now on I will post more even talk. I’m even going to make an email. Specially for you guys that’s alone in this time. Or just feel alone. We are here for you. We love all of you. If you want to talk about MHE or just any other illness We are here for you. Or if you just want to talk we are here for you! I’ll try and make the email against tomorrow because we do live in Belgium and the time difference is different. Currently it’s 00:30 here. I will even give Naziha the info of the emails so she can talk to you guys too. ( she lost her password and everything of this tumblr ).

I want to make a persona for warrior cats, but I want it to look like me. I have a crooked arm because I have a rare bone disorder, called multiple hereditary exostoses that made it grow in wrong as a side effect. For me IRL, it looks extreme enough to worry people once they notice, but it's minor enough that only people who see me often notice it. It rarely hurts, but it does make moving it in certain ways awkward. How would a cat get a crooked front leg? How could it affect their mobility?

I did a little bit of googling, and osteochondromas do actually occur in cats. From what I read, there isn’t a whole lot of research that states that the condition is hereditary, but the good news is that you’re working within a fictional universe, so there’s room for creative liberty.

You can read the studies I looked at here and here. The first one even includes X-rays, so you could compare it to your own radiographs and base your character on those!

Ah thank you Doc. Nothing assures me more of your education than me, the patient, having to assure you that: yes, my disease is real, yes I'm sure I have it and yes, that's how it functions. Feel free to google that in front of me, I don't mind. It definitely doesn't fill me with dread seeing you do that. Ah yes, you're going to send me home with a painkiller script and suggest I might be a hypochondriac because you've never heard of this. No worries. Oh these? They're just the x-rays that prove I have this disease dating from when I was 5 years old. Just rubbish don't worry about it. You also can see my tumours from outside of my body with a working pair of eyeballs but I'm sure that's just me hallucinating and having medical anxiety. No worries. don't get me wrong vicoden works especially when i combine it with hella weed its just the itching is fucking ridiculous. like can they not give me something for the itching.
