When Fantasy Becomes Reality
Chapter 2: London Bound
I am sorry if i ever got any of this plane stuff wrong! I have never flown on an airplane.
Colleen had just endured a horrible flight. Her neighbour took the window seat, and to make it worse he wasn’t even gazing outside of the window instead he was sleeping and snoring loudly. A mean looking redheaded boy was in the seat behind her kicking the seat. She had kindly asked the parents to make him stop but all they did was glare daggers at her. She sighed put the headphones on and began to find something to watch while on the plane. Thank God, she had that at least. She had already endured 7 hours and 55 minutes of air travel and a two hour wait for her connecting flight, she could survive for one more hour and five minutes.
She was happy she had chosen first class for this flight. Not that she seemed to fit in. She glanced to the man to her left drooling on his own suit. Maybe she didn’t look so out of place at all.
‘Ooh Torchwood’ She thought as she chose her show from the on-demand screen. She watched the show for a couple minutes before some air turbulence disturbed her. She was having a good time watching Ianto sass the pants off Owen when she looked past her neighbour out the window and she went to turn her head back to the show when a green burst of light caught the corner of her eye. She turned and looked but nothing was there. She sat there thinking out odd that was until she turned towards the screen. It hadn’t been more than twenty minutes later when another flash of light caught her eye and this time it was coming from the aisle of the plane.
“You aren’t going mental.” A voice said somewhere close to her ear. She looked around but nobody had spoken to her, her neighbour was still asleep. She waved it off but then remembered she was wearing headphones. Colleen felt a weird sort of panic settle in her chest. Forty minutes, she only had to survive for Forty more minutes, five minutes for bag check and then she would be with Louise. Colleen turned her gaze back to the screen in front of her when she saw Ianto staring back at her. Within a couple seconds that felt like an eternity the camera left his face, but there was something about the way he looked into it. An intensity she had never seen on any actor or in any movie. Ever. She shivered slightly and decided perhaps instead she would take another nap. So, she pulled her breast-length light brown hair up into a messy bun. Forty minutes had never gone faster.
She waited quite impatiently for her bag and once she nabbed it she looked for Louise. It took her a couple minutes before she saw a head of familiar red hair. The woman seemed to be lost in thought.
“Louise?” She asked hoping she didn’t mistake her friend for someone else. She looked up and a smile broke onto her face.
“Colleen!” Her friend’s accent rang in her ears.
“Oh, thank God I was terrified it may have not been you!”
Colleen had never been so excited to leave the airport in her entire life. Meanwhile as the weird plane incident replayed in her mind.
“I bought dragon age inquisition for us to try.” Louise said as they walked into the flat.
“I’ve wanted to play this forever!” She cheered. “I’m going to change into comfy clothes and then we get to play!”
The two women got themselves settled and comfortable. With their food as well as Louise popped the game into the console. Louise was making her inquisitor first. “I think I’ll be a human. Oh, if you’re a human you’re from a noble family in the Free Marches!”
Louise had made her character and started the game. “Oh, this is interesting.“ She breathed. Then Seemingly zoned out as she made her game choices for speaking to the seeker. As soon as she made her character and could save she then handed the controller over to Colleen who made her own human character. Suddenly a blinding green light emitted from the TV and everything went black.

An Expected Visitor
Welcome to our first fic on this blog! This is a fic with two inquisitors AU! This whole fic is an AU! Modern girls in Thedas! This is being co written with @illbeguiltyifyouwantmetobe
Louise stood straightening her shoulder length red hair, her light blue eyes watching her movements in the mirror. She was excited, after months of planning her best friend from America was coming to stay. Colleen was due into Heathrow in the next few hours and Louise had a lot of work to do.
She finished her make-up, grabbed her bag and headed out the door. Louise was lucky to live in London as many couldn’t afford it, especially the iconic 221B Baker Street flat. This flat was left to her in some elderly relatives will, she didn’t even know this person but apparently, they knew her. Louise was incredibly grateful for this as it allowed her to continue her studies in London without too much expense.
While waiting for the tube to Oxford Circus Louise started thinking, both her and Colleen loved video games, especially role playing ones. Louise knew Colleen would be tired from the long-haul flight so a girly gaming night in would be just what she needed to relax.
The train came to a stop at the platform; Louise hopped on and miraculously managed to find a seat. She put her white ear buds in and started listening to Ed Sheeran. Louise zoned out a little when she was listening to her music, it made the train journey so much more bearable. She zoned out that much that she could have sworn that she saw a green flash, she shook her head, she must have been day dreaming. Finally, she was at Oxford Circus.
After an hour or two of dodging crowds, tourists and big issue sellers Louise had got the perfect meal and snacks for tonight, she umm’d and ahhh’d over the choices in the supermarkets but decided that pizza and nachos were indeed the best gaming food, along with a good bottle of wine. Finally, she got to Game, she had an idea of what she was looking for but didn’t realise that the game she would choose would change her life dramatically.
She scoured the racks, loads of shooting games… boring! Eventually she found it, Dragon Age: Inquisition. As soon as she touched the game she saw the green flash again, she blinked in rapid succession, she really needed to get her eyes tested she decided. Louise glanced at her watch – she swore under her breath Colleen would be landing in just under an hour. She had to make it to Heathrow in time to meet her friend.
Louise quickly paid for the game and ran out of the shop across the road to the nearest tube station. It was rush hour. This was not going to be a pleasant journey. Squashed into the small train carriage Louise closed her eyes, she didn’t like being in enclosed spaces anyway, the more people that crammed into the carriage the more she panicked. Over her shoulder, she heard a strangely calming voice; she could have sworn it had a slight Welsh tone “You will be fine”. She opened her eyes and turned around but there was no one looking at her let alone talking to her. She dismissed this as a symptom of her panicking, eventually the doors opened and she got out of the overheated over crowed train.
She ran to the arrivals lounge knowing that she could only have a few moments to compose herself before her friend arrived. She was out of breath, her red hair stuck to her pink face. ‘I must look so attractive right now’ she thought to herself.
“Louise?” an American voice says behind her.

Cast of My Elaborate DAI AU
I’ve been playing with this for a while now, but I finally have a version I’m happy with, where all of my Inquisitors (and some of their relatives) are in the same ‘verse.
Lanyla Lavellan is one of the three who emerged from the Fade after the Conclave explosion. Dalish mage and first to her clan, twenty-four years old at the time of the Conclave explosion. Bi. Romances Cullen.
Hissera Adaar is another of the three who survived the Conclave. Qunari rogue and mercenary, twenty-nine at the time of the Conclave. Lesbian. Romances Josephine.
Nymeria Trevelyan is the final of the three who came from the Fade. Human mage and healer, twenty-six at the time of the Conclave. Bi. Romances Iron Bull.
Just like the last Inquisitor, Ameridan, was known for his two constant companions, when Lanyla is named Inquisitor, Hissera and Nymeria are appointed as her closest companions. All three have marks on their palms--only one is needed to close a “standard” rift that lets out a few demons, but combining them is the only way to get enough power to close the Breach, or the rift at Adamant, or any other large tears in the Fade.
Hanlen Lavellan is Lanyla’s cousin, who escorted her to spy on the Conclave. Dalish hunter and rogue archer, twenty-seven at the time of the Conclave. Pan. Romances Cassandra.
Anaan Adaar is Hissera’s older brother, who comes to Haven looking for news of his sister. Tal-Vashoth mage (technically--he and his tamassran (who later gave birth to Hissera) left the Qun when his magic presented as a child; he was born under the Qun but was never actually made a Saarebas). Thirty-five at the time of the Conclave. Gay. Romances Dorian.
Alanna Trevelyan is Nymeria’s older sister, who came to Haven both to investigate her sister’s fate and to see what the Rift and the Inquisition might mean for Ostwick. Human warrior and mother to a seven year-old daughter, thirty-four at the time of the Conclave. Bi. Romances Blackwall.
Reed Trevelyan is one of Alanna and Nymeria’s brothers, born between them. He and his twin sister come with Alanna for two reasons: to help their sisters, and because their parents and older brothers think they need some direction. Human rogue, twenty-seven at the time of the Conclave. Gay. Has a lover in Ostwick he writes to regularly while in Haven, a successful merchant who becomes an Inquisition contact traveling between Skyhold and the Marches.
Aisling Trevelyan is one of Alanna and Nymeria’s sisters, twin sister of Reed. Human warrior, twenty-seven at the time of the Conclave. Ace, biromantic. Ends up with Harding.
Emory Trevelyan is the second-oldest Trevelyan (there are seven total), who comes to Skyhold once the Inquisition is established. He works with Leliana, bringing his own Marcher contacts to supplement her network. He would prefer not to explain how and why he has said contacts because it’s not like he was being groomed to be spymaster to further his House’s interest that would be ridiculous. Bi. (I am almost incapable of writing Straights) Married to the daughter of Ostwick’s Teyrnir, who is set to inherit her father’s position.
And... that’s everyone. For now, at least. There might be a few more coming along as I write bits and pieces of this verse.
The timeline of this AU, btw, follows along my other two multiple-protags WIPs. In Origins, Fiya Tabris, Adrin Surana, Keira Cousland and Tamsyn Amell were all recruited by Duncan, and in DA2, the Champions of Kirkwall are the older pair of Hawke twins, Aliss and Damian.
Quizzies!AU
I want to write more and my DA OC’s are the ones I can write easily at the moment!
Just a little something I would like to think if 4 of my Inquisitors survived the Conclave. I’ve been stuck in this AU hellhole.
