The thing I love most about Dispatch is that, even for a brief moment, all of us get to know a different Robert. Maybe to you he's lowkey a jerk who snaps at everything and won't admit he cares about the team (although he always does by the end), but for someone else he's just some random guy, too depressed to do things for himself but puts others first always.
And I know a big part of "make your own choices" kinda game is to project yourself into the situation and act as you would, but since sometimes you have little to no time to decide, I think what we do is push Robert into situations that will being out the best (or worst) in him. When I think about what he would do in a hypothetical situation, I always think: "Would someone reading this think it's on brand for him? Would they think it's cringe and something he would never dare to do?"
I like to think Robert The Character is his own person and we are only getting to know him through a series of random decisions, sort of like a multiverse thing. Have you ever felt this way? Not necessarily about Dispatch, but other games of the like.
