At the beginning of June, this little fellow came to our house. What adventures he had gone through we can only guess. He was tired, hungry and above all he was looking for closeness. A safe place. Jump onto the finger and then he was home. He has now been with us for two months, but already on the first day he stole our heart. We gave him the name Rutger (because it was the namesday the second day since he arrived).

I havnt found anyone that seems to look for him. And now I hope he can stay. ❤️🐦 In one month we will know. ❤️

Finally out in the forest again. Looked some forestanemones (vitsippor). Then headed for my spot by the "cabin" and had coffe. A little rain and snow but now as I am sipping on my coffe the sun arrived. ☀️☕

Today its Valborg or Valborgsmässoafton. In the evening we will light big bonfires, sing and cheer in the spring. 🌿

According to old folk lore, evil forces were in motion during the (Valborg) Walpurgis when the winter half-year turned into summer. Fires were then lit to scare away all the trolls. The fires also protected against predators who were after the cattle that had been let out on the first pasture of the year.

I decided to get into the festivites by having a nice day in the forest. ☀️🌲
