Not showing my whole coat for safety reasons, but I'm repairing some old patches of mine I didn't iron on right :> this embroidery floss is sturdy stuff, I may go through and sew on some patches I've been saving for a while. I also have to undo my current back patch after I quilt a new one, I may paint/appliqué/ hand embroider other new patches as well :]

Well...

I finally finished sewing on my favourite lyrics in 'Why?' by Bronski Beat onto the collar. Definitely need to go through and paint over in black in places, but it's not too bad. It gets hidden by my hair a lot anyway

I recently got a cool Shakespearean Ram badge from the University of Derby at a Higher Education fair. It's probably not going to stay on, and if it does then probably not on my collar, not sure where my badges are going to go. I need to befriend someone with a badge maker so that I can make some lol. Otherwise will have to do some shopping at HMV (I have a few already that could go on there)

Not made any new patches since last time yet as I've not had time between work and mocks. However, I did paint these massive rectangles onto the back of tote bags (what I use as the patch material lol) as prep for when I do! Here's a Captain Jack Harkness for size reference

Ideally, I will be doing my fire pattern on my sleeves if I can find a way to sketch it on first. The big rectangle is probably going to be split into two, one of which will be the eye design for Siouxsie and the Banshees, and the other a dagger design I have planned out with lyrics from Eight by Sleeping at Last:

It's going to be painted, with the plant and golden dripping bit being embroidered on. Very excited about that one. It's going on my sleeve (will be underneath the Pendragon Crest from BBC Merlin!)

Not sure what the smaller rectangle is going to be yet. Could be a number of things lol, I have a Pinterest board

Although I feel the need to make a Truthdare Doubledare patch, given it's the 40th Anniversary this year. I don't know if FOUR Bronski Beat references on one jacket is too much though...

My battle jacket:)

And a little explanation:D

the front:

on the collar i have rows of spikes, cause “they won’t do any damage to people there” on my left pocket is an anarchy symbol with small spikes at the points on the A. On the right pocket is a trans patch that says they/them/theirs. I have a bunch of pins i’ve collected over the years on the main area of the jacket. Safety pin chains are attached to the top of both pockets also. I have cobweb chains on the left shoulder and right waist. On the left waist i have a pantera “vulgar display of power” patch, one of the mascot of the twitch streamer hutts, Tim saying “crime” a patch that says “Korn” and a trans flag. On the collar is a tab with four safety pins holding it in place, looking similar to a bug on one side, on the other are two pins.

the back: i have patches that say: Eat the rich, Rammstein, Compost in training, do not disturb, proud to be a freak and rat king, i also have a deaths head moth patch below the collar. On the collar is a small anarchy sumbol. I am Currently making more patches to add.

arms/cuffs: on the left arm i have two patches, saying “go weird or go home” and “acab” and on both cuffs i have sewed on rows of soda can tabs with a large spike near the button on the cuffs, but a few tabs have fallen off.
