What's King up to in your myosotis AU?

king actually hasn't changed a whole bunch!!! originally i considered swapping him with the collector but... i didn't really like that idea so king is still being raised by Luz! his childhood was definitely different from canon kings tho: for one Luz realized oh this is a Child and treated him as such, unlike eda who thought of him as a pet and then a ""roommate"". this does mean their dynamic is a bit different to the show, although canon eda and myosotis Luz don't take king seriously it's for different reasons. Luz is more of like oh he's just a BABY he's so young i gotta take care of him and a bit more infantalizing i guess?? where king feels like he's not being treated like the mature person he is (which like. sorry man you are 8.) it's like the relationship gets less one sided yk. does what im saying make sense. i just don't really know what ie could/should change from canon so ive kept it pretty similar bc like with Luz and eda I can mirror them but king is just. the outlier. he's just a little guy

he's a bit less dictatory/power hungry (as power hungry as an 8yr can be lmao) and a bit more chill compared to his canon counterpart. he also shares Luz's love for storytelling/reading! i think Luz would still like stories and escapism but im unsure if she would want like. fantasy even tho she lives in a fantasy world or just let regular human stuff Gus style. but king and luz both Love 2 read! this comes into play in S3 w/ collector where instead of... whatever S3 did the BI gets turned into a DnD game! bc of king. it's fun. i love rewriting S3. he's also used to being kinda independent bc sometimes luz has bad days (re: depression + bile sack exhaustion) and she just. can't get out of bed sometimes and take care of him. which is fun

im still working out what i wanna do for his backstory bc like. I Could see Luz realizing oh he's not playing pretend he actually believes this and just... Not stopping it bc she doesn't know how to handle it and it makes him happy (tying into her love of using stories as escapism). Or she could tell him and he knows he isn't actually a king of demons but Luz just refuses to share more of his backstory with him (reasons why she would do this are unclear) which causes king to take Eda + Gus (Gus takes S2 Lilith's place) to his home and then yk how the rest of the ep plays ou. the first one seems to make more sense but I'm also worried with making shit Too identical to canon yk???anyways. have some King drawing attempts

i don't talk abt myosotis king very often mainly,,, because,,,, im so bad at drawing him it's AWFUL. I struggle a lot with like. Nonhuman characters/animals those are my weakness </3 i draw out alot of myosotis stuff so like.. If I can't draw it I usually just don't do much with it?. i do have like. I have this MASSIVE timeline detailing episodes for plots and character arcs and it's a whole thing. Very large project. yeah but king actually has clothes here bc Luz is like well this is a Child i can't let him be naked. Still trying to figure out the whole putting clothes over fur thing and if that's an issue but ya whatever. im terrible at designing outfits sighh. also instead of having the collar with his dad's symbol he and eda make matching friendship bracelets! and then those come into play in S3 bc i didn't forget about that unlike the show lmao. I have a Lot Of Content going on in this au and I looooove talking about it :]

todays prompt I just went with scaly so heres an older vee! this is my toh reverse au design of her but it can also just be a post canon one. in the reverse au vee is in the BI and part of the rebellion against belos! good for her

Ortober Day 1: Freedom/Captivity

here is a lilith clawthorne from my toh reverse au! she got lost in the BI a few years back and belosn kindly took her in :-) what a friendly old man surely nothing bad would happen to lilith shes doing great

it’s been a hot minute since i posted for my reverse au (really need to figure out a better name for that) but here’s some drawings i did! you may have noticed i’ve changed their designs again by a lot. old hexsquad has my heart <3

this is their s1-early s2 designs, when all 3 of them are still coven heads working togetherish

a gus and a luz! they still remain friends even after the rest of the hexsquad falls apart, and gus eventually leaves the coven at the end of S1. the two of them have been regularly meeting up for years and hanging out despite the entire “you’re a wild witch and i’m a coven head” thing which is very funny of them. they have the least amount of conflict between them.

a hunter before he leaves the coven, a post day of unity willow and amity, and a sad S1 luz

post DOU hunter and luz being buddies :} they’re very good friends although the circumstances are very different (no hollow mind trauma for one)

and a post canon group hug! luz is just happy top have all her friends in one place

all of their main outfit changes are drawn here, although i haven’t figured out what exactly is going on w/ S3 and if they’re gonna have major outfit changes again or just all be puppets. who knows

as always feel free to ask more about this au it is my baby and i LOVE talking about it i have so much content for it. maybe one day ill make a comic out of it or smthn

Does Belos exist in the reverse AU?

he does! He's one of the characters I wound up not swapping just because I didn't wanna deal with it. although now I'm thinking of ideas but that would be a seperate au entirely...

but belos is still around! hunter is around too he's in his 40s and is currently the longest lasting grimwalker! belos hasn't killed him yet there's also the emeperos ward! a mysterious girl who showed up in the castle 2 years ago. belos claims she was attacked by wild witches and he decided to take her in out of the kindness of his heart, and many believe the golden guard is training her to be his successor...

I managed to somehow split my massive sketch pages into somewhat coherent sections so here's part one!! it's more toh reverse au shit <3

the Noceda house (?) the name is a work in progress. featuring eda, a 14 year old delinquent who is avoiding summer camp by staying with luzura, the wild witch of the boiling isles! (she came up with the nickname when she was 20, ok. just call her Luz.) oh luzs deal is so fun. she doesn't have a curse but she has a wild backstory. will go into that another time :-)

luz has a human disguise and it's just stringbean as a hat to hide her ears and a sweater thrown over her regular outfit. it works great. people know her around town as that eccentric older lady who is fascinated by everythung and loves garage sales.

and then we have the teens! still fleshing out their backstories a bit but things go a bit differentky then canon here >:). fun fact about eberwolf: they originally were homeschooled by their family/pack/tribe but they befriended darius and transferred to hexside just to harrass him. Darius hates it. Darius also is the one who bought eber their clothes, and eber immediately ruined them.

lilith alao plays a role here! although she comes in a bit later in the story and nothing bad at all happens to her >:). just know that she is trying her best. although her best could be a little bit better
