I • t r i e d So, my last two runs, have resulted in what I initially thought was a bad calf cramp...but am now considering the idea of it being a strain 😬 I've been RICE-ing...(well, actually, because I first thought it was a cramp, massaged and tried heat...which didn't really help. I took a rest day before making the second run attempt, but ended up with the same symptoms). So...then I went for the RICE 💁🏽 Anyway, today would have been my "long" #run day, but since it's still not feeling 💯 and I'm trying to be smart...I went for a ride instead. Now, in the past the extent of my "riding," has mostly consisted of the indoor stationary bike we have, during times I wasn't able to run. Outside, I've done a few rides, but never of any significant distance or duration. Until today. The hubs suggested a route, and I went for it. It was a fun challenge, and I'll always take outdoors when given the opportunity! As far as the ride...I felt like I maintained a pretty decent pace, though it may not look like it...thanks to the hills...(I'm pretty sure I could run as fast, or faster, up them)...and the many stoplights I had to stop at. Considering my lack of riding experience though, I guess I'll take it 😆 I had fun and that's what counts!
