Once you start noticing the passive voice being used for men's actions, you can't unsee it. In history class it was always "women weren't seen as equal human beings" or "women weren't able to own property or have jobs or get education" rather than men legally considered women their property and banned them from work, school, and property rights.

In the news it's always "girl raped in park" or "woman killed in home" which would make some sense if the perpetrator was unknown, but they often have already caught the culprit by the time the article comes out and it's always a man.

The amount of times I've seen a headline about a man murdering his entire family before killing himself being titled "man commits suicide after family is killed" with a nice little family photo of them is absolutely absurd.

Hell, just last night I saw an article titled, "3 kids killed after mom let ex-partner take them to get food." Her male ex took the kids to get food and murdered them before killing himself. Not only is the headline passive, but it also phrases it in a way that makes the mother somehow look guilty like she knew what he had planned or knew he was insane.

To top it off, people get really uncomfortable if you stop using the passive voice for this stuff. They start squirming if you straight up say "men wrote laws banning women from voting" even when that is literally what happened. BOTH men and women act this way. It's like we're all just supposed to pretend that rape, enslavement, murder, and other human rights violations against women just fell from the sky.

I fucking hate the United States. The United States is seeking the death penalty for women who get life-saving abortions, but when men kill their actual living kids for no reason, apparently that’s fine and they can even have a nice little vacation as a treat.

NAME THE PROBLEM.

Men are forcing women to have sex with them for food.

Women are forced to let men rape them to survive.

Every single time I hear about how birth control pills were revolutionary to womens lives, health and safety I always notice who isn't being mentioned. Who are women defending themselves from with birth control pills? Why are we celebrating women finally having an abulance at the bottom of the hill without naming the hill? Why is no one saying the M word?

Been thinking for a while about making something like this (anonymous) in order to be able to post more freely about certain topics (obtaining justice for women the only way we can, which is through preventative action). A bit of background:

This blog is devoted to talking about the group of incredible women who I love dearly and who have come together over our shared passion and dedication for engaging in extralegal endeavors with the intention of making the community (and someday the wider world) a slightly better and safer place for women and girls. Like many of us, I've had a dream for a while of forming a close-knit group of talented and devoted women who would pursue justice for girls and women by excising from society as many evil, violent men as we could. I just have the uncommon fortune of being closely connected to certain entities which have provided me with the skill set needed to make this happen.

The way the group came to be was actually pretty organic. I was fine doing this by myself to begin with, but when I first met my wife, I learned that she had some history similar to my own, and of course she wanted to be part of this, too. The third, who came in a couple of years ago now (I can't believe it's been that long already!!), was a woman who was a recent victim of one of these men. Someone close to us knew her and vouched for her, so we took the massive risk of telling her beforehand to allow her the opportunity to participate, or at least to get to say her piece to him without him being able to say a word in his defense. She was more or less ambivalent initially, but quickly came to understand our mission and was eager to climb on board. From there, things just kept moving forward pretty naturally.

This blog will be reblogging and posting content that highlights the reasons men are irredeemable due to their treatment of the female sex, in addition to the content pertaining to the group described above and its activities. The latter will be cautiously nonspecific for reasons that should be readily obvious. Ask box is always open, however, if you want to have a more sensitive conversation, DM me for instructions on how.

Above all else, this is an outlet where I don't filter, and allow myself to express sentiments I might not actually always feel, but need to get off my chest when I do.
