PALO ALTO (2013)
A beautiful and poetic point of view about teenage life and its complications. It displays all the questions and doubts about the future and “what will I do for the rest of my life”, besides the fact that it talks about some heavy stuff in a very cinematic way that I really loved. The editing and sound mixing has a subtle but noticeable art to it that stands out for me.

Movie Review: Home Again
The hubby and i had a date night and I actually put a bit of research into my choice. I decided IT would have to wait until ‘video’ and Mother just had too many conflicting reviews and while I find that very intriguing I just didn’t think I wanted to do that for a date night.
I figured you can’t go wrong with a Reese romantic comedy. And I was right. :) I found the movie very enjoyable. The two young actors as the children were fun and great. There was nice chemistry between the leading lady and the three 20-somethings living in her guest house.
And while Harry was the prettiest I liked him the least, I enjoyed the characters of George and Teddy more, I thought they had more depth. What was nice was that Harry had no illusions about himself, nor did his friends.
The way the three guys come to live in her guest house was ridiculous of course, although watching a tickled Candice Bergman was fun. (As was seeing her in the montage at the beginning as a young woman.)
I like romantic comedies, and for me it doesn’t matter if it’s predictable or not; it’s all about the banter and chemistry and amusement and I felt this movie satisfied all that. Plus I’m a fan of Reese Witherspoon.
I also loved that this movie didn’t have a neatly tied up ending...
