Fending Off Disillusionment
In which AUs are present and Nate haunts Billy.
On AO3.
Billy kept waiting for the switch to flip. It had happened so suddenly last time that he thought it would come like a lightning bolt from clear skies—he more than anyone knew how often that happened.
The first time Teddy had come to Billy’s apartment (clothes everywhere and dishes in the sink because there was no one to tell him otherwise) he had brought pizza and movies. They sat on the couch and talked oh, so easily about the physics behind spaceships of that design and the way the actors responded to the green screen; Billy hadn’t even felt Teddy’s hand slip into his own.
It had been a ploy. Of course it had been—it was too nice, something that could never be just. (And here Billy was, expecting a hand on his knee next or an arm around his shoulder.) But all Teddy asked for was another soda.
Teddy went home and left Billy looking for thunder clouds.
(Fic) A Healthy Relationship

Characters: Billy Kaplan, Teddy Altman, Nate Richards
Summary:Billy ponders his life with Nate. Everything's perfect. Isn't it?
AN: For SmileDesu's Birthday! Happy Birthday! We talked about this concept forever ago, and I thought I would codify it to fic form for your very special day.
On AO3.
do you ship billy and nate?
you know I’d never really thought about it beyond billy just being a kid and a nervous flirt and nate seems more or less obtuse to everything, like when cassie kisses him he’s like struggling to compute and then basically decides that she’s the love of his life (teenagers I stg) but I actually really like the idea of billy and nate having a sort of dead-end flirtation, I mean again billy is a KID and nate is this big smart super tricked out iron-mad looking cutie pie from the future, that’s like a recipe for instant-billy-nerdgasm. and ostensibly if billy met nate before he met teddy, maybe he was too googly eyed over nate for a bit to really think about teddy, and teddy is sort of more reserved and shy and so I can definitely see that whole scenario playing out pretty easily.
and you know maybe there’d be some of that “woo teenage hormones” thing going on between them but I also think that nate wouldn’t really want to start a thing because kang is coming and that is priority numero uno. and maybe billy would be sad and teddy would be like hey don’t be sad and then it’d be like, “oh, there you are,” and boom.
alternately, I like the idea of nate coming from the future where no one gives a fuck and a half if you’re gay or straight or asexual or anything, and just has a sort of easy, teasing, flirtation that isn’t ever going to be a thing but just is an element of their relationship. and I think that billy and teddy could easily both have sort of fanboy crushes on nate like put yourself in their position how could you not.
anyways to answer your question, SURE. also you know me if someone waves two cuties in front of my face and whispers “want to see them kiss” I’m like yes okay lets do that

So a few weeks back I commissioned the quite amazing callmekitto for some YA fanart, which was finished and sent to me days ago and has been sitting, fawned over, on my computer since
but lbh this needs to be shared with the world
the natebilly tag is an empty, desolate wasteland
and that is the saddest thing
