NCT Reaction to Seeing Their Long Distance S/O After a Long Time (Maknae Line)
Why do I literally make every reaction I do like a whole ass senior thesis. I really need to learn how to stop cause it takes actually 5ever to complete anything. Anyway sorry it’s literally like an essay for every member, but I hope you enjoy it.
You hadn’t met Jaehyun until after permanently moving to Korea. After showing a lot of potential as a dancer in the US auditions, SM decided to hire you as a backup dancer for their company. You weren’t working with NCT specifically, but you did see them almost everyday seeing as your dance practice times and theirs seemed to coincide. Jaehyun had almost immediately taken a liking to you, but knew the company would kill him if he even tried to date while they were promoting. However, with each day passing and each shy hello you would spare him in passing made it harder and harder for him to ignore his feelings for you. Finally he gained the courage, with the help of the other members to ask you in a date, and the two of you had been together ever since.
Even though you were living in Korea and working under the same company that didn’t stop you from having to go through long distance. The two of you were both very busy and were often travelling on different tours which. Most of the time you weren’t away from each other for more than two or three months, but this time the company planned your tours in such a way that when he got back, you were leaving. All together you hadn’t seen each other in almost a year.
Your plane landed at around 1:30 am. Most of the fan had gone home by then and the ones who had stayed were too preoccupied by the artist you were touring with to notice you sneak off to go meet your idol boyfriend on the other end of the airport. When he first saw you, you hadn’t yet spotted him so he took this opportunity to surprise you. He would come up from behind and hug you, startling you a bit in the process.
“Hey baby I missed you,” He would say to you gently while rocking ou back and forth “Now lets go I’m tired and we have a lot of cuddling to catch up on.”

You had met Win Win on a study abroad trip to China while he was on break from promoting and came to visit his family. He was very shy about his attractions to you at first but something about you just made him feel so comfortable that he knew he couldn’t let you slip away.
He asked you out the night before he had to leave. You showed up at your apartment one night and confessed how he felt. The two of you spent the rest of the night out with him showing you his favorite spots and places he used to go while he was growing up. He was shy showing you affection and skinship, but the night was comfortable and fun. The two of you didn’t leave each others sides until a few hours before he had to catch his flight back to Korea. He left you with a shy kiss on the cheek and a promise that he would try and see you as often as possible.
For the most part Sicheng was very good about always updating you, calling and texting, except for when he was practicing hard or doing lots of promoting, but it would never be for very long and you would easily forgive him because he was exhausted and needed to take care of himself. All together long distance with Sicheng would feel like you weren’t very far at all. But it did have its downsides. The more the two of you put in to this relationship the more the two of you missed the physical aspect of dating, not just skinship but just being able to see each other without it being through a screen, going out together, movie nights where you could actually be in each other’s arms.
When the two of you met again it was backstage at and NCT showcase in Beijing. You were for him side stage when he saw you. You swore that after that he performed with more energy than you had ever seen before. When he came off stage he immediately went to you and wrapped his arms around you with a confidence you had yet to seen from him.
“What did you do to my shy boyfriend?” You said to him chuckling. He pulled away and kissed you without saying a thing. The kiss was soft but passionate. Before you had a chance to respond he pulled away.
“I guess this is what happens when he doesn’t get to be with his dream girl for a year.” For the rest of the night he refused to take his hands off of you, a hand lingering on your waist, arms wrapped around you from behind. The shy boy was gone now all he wanted was to be with you, and the two of you finally got to have that movie night.
You and Mark had been family friends from Canada. Your mothers had been good friends, so naturally the two of you got to know each other pretty well. Eventually just a close friendship, became something more. Your mothers had always joked that the two of you would end up getting married someday but little did they know that the two of you would actually end up together.
You two had already been in a pretty committed relationship before he had to move to Korea, so there was no way either of you were gonna abandon this relationship. Neither of you had any experience with so it was really hard at first, him trying to manage keeping in touch with you while being in every NCT unit, and with the time difference between you two. You both would try your best but sometimes it would just be too hard and the distance would get to you both, but no matter you guys got through it.
When the two of you saw each other in person for the first time again it would be on a family trip both of your families were going on. Your family met up with his at the hotel you were staying at. Because it was a family trip there were no cameras, no fansites, no fame just your Mark. I think in that moment neither of you would be afraid to show how you felt to one another. I wholeheartedly believe Mark would get choked up and come to you giving you bone crushing hug and spin you around. When the two of you separated he would keep his hands around your waist. Both of your families would be awing and cooing over your relationship but neither of you would pay any attention to them.
“I’m so sorry for anything I put you through while I was gone.” He would say softly to you. You could never be mad at him. Leaning in he would give you a soft sweet kiss, but with it he was able to convey everything he had felt in the past year. He couldn’t wait to be able to spend time with you again.
You met Haechan while filming a commercial. You were a model from another country that they had highered to work with NCT on advertising for a new clothing line. Immediately when you walked into the studio he was interested in your style, not just in clothing but just generally in the way you held yourself. When the two of you were paired up for the shoot he was so excited and honestly had a very hard time hiding it. Quickly the rest of the boys caught on to what was happening. Donghyuk was so impressed at how you could be just on par with his goofiness but still be professional when you needed to be. Haechan actually didn’t even get a chance to ask for your number or anything before your manager swept you away to go to your next event, but luckily thanks to his hyungs who watched the whole thing happened somehow they got your number from the production staff and were more than happy to share the information.
When you first started texting it was awkward. Neither of you really knew what to say and there was a bit of a language barrier seeing as neither of you were completely fluent in each other’s language, only enough to make small talk. However as time went on you both became more comfortable with each other and even helped each other with learning the others language. The entire time you were talking both of you realized you had feelings for each other but neither of you ever said anything about it, because there was no was to tell how the other felt or if long distance would even work. However, neither of you dated or even talked to anyone else during the time you got to know each other.
When you finally got to see Donghyuk again, you were invited to come and be in a new NCT Dream video. You weren’t the main role but you wouldn’t give up this opportunity. Arriving on set neither of you knew how to transition from a very digital friendship back into an in person one, but as soon as shooting started the transition came quite easily, but this time it seemed a bit different. Both of you were taking on a more flirty tone rather than the purely friend like one you had for the most part when talking to each other. Something about being together in person just made the both of you more confident. When the shoot was over the director complimented the chemistry the two of you had.
This time however, Donghyuk learned from his mistakes and grabbed you before you could slip away again.
“All I can think about since the day I met you is you, your smile, your silly jokes, your everything. I should’ve told you this a long time ago, but I want to be able to call you my girlfriend.”
When you agreed he gave you a big hug and a shy kiss on the cheek. Your relationship stayed very similar to when you were just friends, except with a few more flirty comments and a lot more fluff from both parties. Being in a relationship with Haechan is just like being best friends, and it was so nice.
