NeatherRealmers usually have no morals. Oni and Demons are evil to the core. They’ll lie, kill, rape, torture, etc. The only obey their masters.

The only thing NeatherRealmers hold sacred is keeping a deal.

If a demon makes a deal with someone, they must hold up their end of the bargain. Actually going back on a deal is very looked down upon.

Now this doesn’t mean a demon isn’t allowed to manipulate or use loopholes in a deal to get what they want. As long as the demon doesn’t actually break the deal it’s considered fair.

This is why if you make a deal with a demon, you better be specific as fuck.

Demons use magical contracts with one another so that they can’t deceive each other.

Ex: Quan Chi made a deal with Scorpion to bring back his family if and only if he retrieved Shinnok’s amulet for him. Scorpion failed in doing this and that broke their deal. So Quan Chi turned against him.

NeatherRealmers will even turn against their own leaders if they see them dishonoring a deal.

Shinnok doesn’t count because he’s not originally of the NeatherRealm. So he doesn’t believe in the importance of deals.

Quan Chi also sometimes doesn’t honor the importance of a deal, which in the end leads other NeatherRealmers to turn against him.

Something I Always Wondered In The MK11 Story

Why didn’t the Shirai Ryu help out in the battle against Kronika during the last two chapters of the main storyline? (Raiden and Fire God Liu Kang)

If you really think about it, it really doesn’t make sense why the good guys didn’t think of bringing the Shirai Ryu with them because:

1. It’s a war where the very fate of every single realm falls upon. They’re gonna need all the help they can get.

2. It would’ve been a good way to show past Scorpion how reformed the Shirai Ryu clan has become in the present timeline. And while the clan members may be skeptical in following past Scorpion, their close allies like Cassie Cage or Sub-Zero could easily vouch for him and encourage them to make past Scorpion the new grandmaster.

3. Raiden’s chapter clearly showed there is more than enough space on Kharon’s ship, especially since the only passengers were Kharon, Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, and present Jax later on.

4. Since Kharon’s the primary controller of his fleet, it would make a lot of sense to have as much protection as they can for him. I mean, could you just imagine how utterly screwed the good guys would’ve been if Geras, Frost, or any of the Cyber Lin Kuei managed to capture Kharon and throw him into the Sea of Blood all because he didn’t had enough protection on his ship?

5. The very area the majority of the good guys were at before Raiden’s chapter was the Shirai Ryu Fire Gardens, so it should’ve been easy to call for the clan members for their assistance.

6. It’s not like any of the ships had to worry about passenger weight. Kitana’s ship managed to ferry THREE Outworld factions without much issue, with one of those factions being any entire army of Shokan!

7. It’s also possible the Shirai Ryu would know how to handle the Neatherrealm armies the best considering potential teachings from Hanzo Hasashi.

Just something I’d thought to share just for the heck of it.
