"there is beauty in imperfection"
Oop
I know your necromancer au focuses on
The heart pirates, but I would love to know more about the straw hats!
As you wish, dear anon
Here are the refs for the east blue crew + chopper (and a sketchy robin). Robin and Franky are on the crew too I was just too lazy to draw up their refs akshdjdgd. Brook and Jinbe don’t exist in this au as of yet just because their situations in regards to the mechanics of this au are a whole different bag of worms to figure out and I just haven’t done that yet
I might’ve mentioned it in a previous ask but the straw hats are basically a group of ragtag renegades who are either wanted in multiple countries (luffy), seeking a larger goal, or just had an itch for adventure. They try not to steal (too often), and so they take on odd jobs to survive while they sail around the world.
Only a few members of the crew have magic i.e. luffy, zoro, Nami, robin, as it’s a rare ability to develop. I considered giving Nami invisibility or even shapeshifting powers but I ultimately prioritized her navigation skills and went with the power she has. Luffy is luffy. Zoro wasn’t aware he even had a magic ability until they saw him tank a canon all to the back of the head and walk it off, and they had to explain to him that that’s Not Normal. He thought he was just built different. Robin essentially has her canon powers but on a much smaller scale. Like one or two extra limbs at a time. I’m not totally happy with her ability, so I might end up changing it later on.
Slightly off topic cause I want to include this:
I mentioned it before but Sabo’s soul is inside Luffy, unbeknownst to him and Ace, so to Luffy a lot of the time it feels like Sabo is just out of reach, like he’ll find him if he just looks hard enough. Eventually Luffy decided that this is just what missing people feels like, and that’s like, half right in this case.
Also! Here’s a rough sketch of what Sabo looks like!
And yes, he does actually make it back to a body thanks to Law. Via reasons I can’t explain yet
Thanks for the ask! I love talking about this au
necromancer singed for your viewing pleasure, as started on stream (sketch below the cut)
(Nec)romantically yours...
It was the first time Weiss was allowed to accompany her grandfather to the village with no name.
A strange name for a strange place. A place where the dead worked the fields tirelessly, and life worked right alongside it.
It was time for Weiss to truly understand her family's place in things, and what it cost them. The balance must be maintained.

Villain Arc au where Garth goes full Necromancer and gets the deep sea body horror treatment
Maybe Arthur dies and Garth raises him from the dead cause he can't handle loss
Hell, might as well raise Tula's spirit too or something
@mizaruwu I’m sorry I couldn’t help but wrecking necromancer Rulie cause it was whumptober
So like what if he had a moment of clarity where he was actually thinking clearly and not letting desperation get the better of him
(I feel like this would happen when he realized he would never find Wild cause Wild came after him then he started thinking about the others he’d already revived)
Necromancer Barbie (now with accessories!) // AFTG {Urban Fantasy AU}
Rating: Mature (explicit sexual content/mild references to violence and gore) Fandom: AFTG/The Foxhole Court Pairing: Allison/Seth/Kevin (background Andreil) Word Count: 5.1k {Also on AO3} Summary: Being the outcast child of a high powered necromanctic family was hard enough for Allison without having to routinely perform forbidden rituals to resurrect one of her two dumbass boyfriends. Because they continued to kill each other during arguments. This was not the sexy and powerful life she was promised. OR the stupid sex/comedy about Necormancer!Allison born out of a plot bunny from the Selkie AU I started and courtesy of @elany elany : frankly i have been thinking about this as a wacky supernatural comedy, anime style, in which Allison regularly has to do forbidden magic to bring one or both of them back because they got into a fight and died in a series of progressively more ridiculous freak accidents you: angst me, for once in my life: but what if it was real fucking stupid tho And I was enchanted instantly, because I love ideas that are really fucking stupid. RIP
Allison had a trust fund and accounts in places that didn’t always show up on maps, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t handle hard work and dirt under her perfect manicure. She’d been an collegiate athletic for fuck’s sake. Digging up the recently deceased was hardly any more effort than the grueling practices that dominated her college career. She contained multitudes and she was more expensive for it.
“Why couldn’t you just use the last vic’s hand?” Neil asked. “He had the same skin tone and is, more importantly, available.”
“I’m not,” Allison said, flinging soft dirt over her shoulder, “giving Seth,” another scoop, “a rapist’s hand.” She dug the shovel deeper with the heel of her boot. “Not if he wants to touch me.”
Neil hummed, bobbling his head in understanding. And then stopped, leaning on his own shovel and peering through the dark cemetery at something she couldn’t see.
“Be right back,” he said, climbing out of the hole and leaving his shovel behind.
Maybe it was the unlit night that kept her from seeing who he was talking to, or maybe it was something she’d never be able to see. She got back to work until light flashed and Neil ambled back over, crouching at the edge of the hole and peering down at her. His eyes shimmered in the moonlight, ghostly bright blue, almost silver—like some nocturnal creature, reflective and otherworldly—dimming back to his normal still-too-stark blue. Still spooky. Maybe that’s why they got along so well.
“You almost done?”
She aimed a smirk up at him, thunking her shovel down into wood again for his benefit. “Hand me the saw.”
***
“So what was it this time?” Neil asked, sipping at his iced coffee.
Kevin scowled. “Why are you looking at me? I can’t believe you both can eat during this.”
The back kitchen of the butcher shop was clean and faintly lemon-scented, which made Andrew’s blood-smeared apron stand out all the more. Neil wasn’t fully looking at Kevin, rather a quick glance here and there while he mostly watched Andrew deftly clean up the mangled stump of Seth’s wrist with a level of smitten ease that was laughable given the cold body on the block island.
They really were freakishly perfectly for each other, Allison thought. Said dryly, “Seth was giving him shit about his hand,” because Seth wasn’t alive to explain. “I don’t know why,” louder, “and I don’t care. But I walk in and Kev’s shoving Seth’s arm in the garbage disposal.”
Neil snickered, kicking his feet to have them softly tap the cabinet he sat on. “And that killed him?”
Andrew said nothing, but Allison had known him long enough to translate the easier set of his flat mouth as mirth.
“No, I did. What? Don’t look at me like that, it was easier than having him bleed out all over the kitchen—I just had it cleaned—and having to get him transfusions and a new hand.”
“Practical,” Neil said. “I’m not a fucking amateur.”
