Alright, schedule update:
I should (fingers crossed) be able to go to DCMP Saturday from around 2-4. I might be able to get there earlier, but I can’t leave any later.

Welcome to the Pits!
Typically running on 4 hrs of sleep.
Do not expect coherency.
Do expect pins.
And zip ties.
Lots of zip ties…
I’m a member of the FRC team Mojo 8085’s pit crew.
We finished our run at the 2023 Worlds as Archimedes Division Champion.
Exhausted from comps, school, and other extracurriculars, but will be posting some off-season and build season meeting until the comps start.
Also preparing for off-season events around New England.
2023 was my first year doing FIRST, so this will be a mix of discoveries and experiences, along with expectations for the coming season.
And just plain chaos. Let the chaos rain.

Oh, and btw:
I am a member of 8085.
I will be posting about 8085.
Almost all of the members are aware of this blog.
However, this is NOT an official Mojo 8085 social media account. This is something I started up at a competition for fun and to reach out to other FRC kids.
Misadventure:
We went to dinner at UNO’s at the Holyoke Mall.
The Scouting Mentor that drove me and the safety captain/technician parked at Burlington around 7:30.
The mall closed around 8.
We left at 9:15.
Burlington was closed.
We did not know this when the rest of the team left in the other direction for their cars.
A left turn and a mile walk around the circumference of the mall later we found the car.
Yay!!!!
How I know I found my people:
Mentors: Do you want to go to an escape room or a baseball game.
Team: Escape room! Definitely escape room!
Half of Drive Team + 1 pit crew: playing games on phones
Me: Do you guys want to solve rebus puzzles?
Half of drive team + 1 pit crew: Totally!
These are cool.
I think I got this one.
Me: (I want to do the scavenger hunt but I don’t want to do it alone.)
Pit Crew and half of Drive Team:
Hey I think there are two scavenger hunts!
Really? Awesome!
Let’s do them!
Drive Team can do it while Pit are working and then you can get some while we queue.
Me: I’m in!!!
You know that feeling when you weren’t told you were going to be setting up a queue-side pit so you have to rush to set one up between matches, but the mentors and FLL students took the wrong T-stack so you don’t have your drills, hex keys, wrenches, or scissors when your swerve motor blows.
Yeah… wish I could say I didn’t know either.
Note to self… make sure you are walking into the pits and not the dog show prep room.
Day 2!
And we had a breakdown!
But everything is fine now!
I couldn’t sleep last night and I aged 10 years in the last 2 hours…
But we have this. We have fixed the problem. We will recover.
so many thiNGS TO DO TO GET MYSELF READY FOR DISTRICT CHAMPS AND I’M DOING NONE OF THEM BECAUSE I’M TOO BUSY SCOUTING
