Apathy is a defence mechanism. People want to care, but sometimes when a person is overwhelmed, they shut-down. Apathy is a huge detriment to our evolution. Only when we care can true change happen. To to care is to feel and we are a society which has lost the art of feeling. We are numb and apathetic and this will be our demise if we do not wake-up and FEEL. How do we do this? We consciously choose to understand. Understand what is fucking us up and understand that there is hope and great potential. But first, we must be aware of the calamity of our modern civilization. We must understand this and feel how truly sad, terrifying and overwhelming it is. This is the first-step. Honest critique of the way things are. And from there, solutions can begin to manifest.
