February 2019 - Fic Rec

To kick off February, I’d like to recommend a funny and very sweet Klaine fic that is a fave of mine: fun & sweet & good to eat by the super awesome @boldmistakes (readfah_cwen on AO3).

This fic is such a creative and hilarious take on Cheerio Kurt and Nerd Blaine, and it’s perfect for foodies out there. Also, don’t be fooled by the word count. There is lots of action and tender moments. Bonus points for utter crackiness.

Summary:

Wherein Kurt is a Cheerio (TM) and Blaine is a Nerd (TM) and so begins the love story between a healthy cereal and a sour candy.

Nerdy Blaine gets paired with badboy or skank Kurt for a group presentation. Something science-y. He's a a bit dismayed because his grades matter to him, but it turns out Kurt's wicked smart and efficient and a really excellent student. Blaine finds out bits and pieces of Kurt's story and does his best to befriend Kurt, who's not thrilled at first because he has a crush on Blaine but kind of needs to preserve his badboy image. Happy ending, please!
