If I could have your attention for a moment everyone, I have an announcement to make. It won’t take much of your time as I don’t plan on sugarcoating things.
Vought’s former CEO Stan Edgar is dead. I understand this news might come as a bit of a shock. Some of us internally are still trying to process the news. He was a…brilliant man who helped shape Vought into the successful company that it is. However, there’s room for change and improvements.
Due to Edgar’s sudden passing, I’ve taken it upon myself to appoint his successor. Frankly, there was only one candidate in mind for the position and I’m sure many of you will agree that it’s a good decision. Someone who is able to bring order to chaos, who has time and patience and years of experience. Someone who can be trusted with the responsibility. Someone that I have my complete faith in.
Effective immediately James Norrington ( @ashortdropandasuddenstop ) is Vought’s new CEO. Quite the upgrade from my personal assistant, but I have no doubt he’ll help lead Vought into a bigger and brighter future. One that we can all be proud of.
I ask for your patience at this time while we all adjust to this big change. To all Vought staff, any orders received from Mr. Norrington are to be treated with the utmost respect and authority, ie he’s the boss and he will be listened to and obeyed just like Edgar was. I of course will be assisting him from time to time as and when required. I expect to hear no complaints in any way shape or form with regards to disrespect of any kind toward Mr. Norrington.
On a somewhat lesser note, I will now be looking for a new personal assistant. I’m told applications will be open in due course for submission via Vought’s website and by post. Best of luck to all that apply.
In the meantime however, I think a huge congratulations are in order for Mr. Norrington’s promotion. I trust you all to give him a very warm welcome.
