For Sale: Kimono Fabric + Sewing Beeswax
Hi! I make lots of things to help sewing go more smoothly. I also sell piles of fabric and kimono to wear or break down for fabric.
Please see my Ebay shop
Don't feel bad about cutting them, please! Millions of kimono are burned every year in Japan. There just aren't enough wearers or buyers, even overseas. There isn't physical room for entire wardrobes required to wear kimono properly. They MUST (mainly) be exported or destroyed to deal with the sheer amount of fabrics. It sucks but buying secondhand and reusing the fabric follows "mottanai!" (waste nothing!) Make that cute miniskirt. Do the drapey blouse.
Since kimono are just rectangles, there is a LOT of fabric in each- caveat: it's often 13-15" wide. As long as it's USED, it doesn't matter how it's used. <3
The thread wax blocks are 100% beeswax, no oils, paraffin, or other softeners that can stain your fabric. I make them in yellow or white beeswax. I've got some different molds available, but most are ~6-8g of wax. The big oval blocks there are a bit heavier.
I also have a big lot of DMC, hoops, vintage patterns, and other such things. Occasionally, I post patterns, scrap packs, and pattern weights (NO wheat or other food filling!)
Sculpting again & this little shit took me 1 hour but i love him
Its Bam from Batwheels, a preschool show i ended up... really liking and yea started sculpting again
Cant wait to paint our batboy <3 he is gorg and Batwheels is awesome
I'm working on it, tomorrow i will paint him, do his fenders and overall detail him
Ignore me i look like shit

Why You Need Offline Hobbies for a Clearer Mind
Nowadays, spending time in front of electronic devices leads to exhaustion and stress. Having an alternative hobby such as reading a book or drawing allows your brain to get rest from the smartphone screen. This enjoyable activity is able to keep you in the present moment which reduces anxiety and increases the ability to concentrate. When you give up on being online, you will become much more productive and relaxed. How to Start a Digital Detox with Screen-Free Hobbies
A digital detox involves disconnecting from one’s device for some time. As a beginner, you should put down your phone at certain hours of the day and engage in non-screen activities such as reading, hiking, or cooking. You will definitely notice a positive difference in your life.
Screen-Free Relaxation: A Guide to Unplugging Your Mind
A screen-free form of relaxation is one where you take a break from all the distractions provided by your phone, computer, and TV. Instead of browsing through social media sites, you allow your mind to take some time off by participating in some very relaxing activities that don’t require you to be online. Examples include a nice hot bath, meditation in a quiet room, or just sitting outdoors and enjoying natural sounds around you.
The Psychological Benefits of Disconnecting from Technology
Detaching yourself from technology will benefit you in many ways, especially regarding your psychological health. The fact that you are distancing yourself from endless notifications and comparisons on social media will make you less stressed and anxious. You will give your mind a chance to relax and concentrate more.
10 Digital Detox Activities For A Refreshed You in 2026
Following are ten easy ways in which you can enjoy life without any screen in 2026:
1. Read a Book
Dive into another world.
A book allows you to leave reality behind and immerse yourself into something different. In today’s fast-paced life full of scrolling, reading provides you with an escape route. Be it a thriller, biography or self-help book, reading offers you relaxation and lets you view the world from a completely different perspective.
2. Take a Walk in Nature
Give your brain some rest.
Nature walks do wonders for our mind and body. It is not without reason that people love going for hikes, walks on the beach or simply taking a stroll in the park. Being surrounded by nature reduces cortisol, improves our state of mind and gives our thoughts a chance to clear up.
3. Keep a Diary
Clarify everything in writing.
Journaling does not necessarily involve listing events that happen during the day. This practice allows us to analyze our emotions, write down our aspirations and keep track of our progress. Besides, it is a way for you to write down everything you think.
4. Try a New Recipe
Make something yummy.
Cooking something new is a lot of fun, it puts your attention in the now, and allows you to have a good meal at the end of it.
5. Try Solving a Jigsaw Puzzle
Entertaining your mind.
A jigsaw puzzle does not involve any kind of technology, and it keeps your mind active while making you more patient at the same time.
6. Gardening
Growing something
You do not have to have a huge space; gardening can be done in a window box. It helps you learn about nature and patience.
7. Meditation or Exercise
Take care of your body and soul.
If you jog, dance or simply meditate for ten minutes, it will allow you to unwind from stress and make you feel empowered.
8. Create a Picture or Draw Something
Make art fun.
Being talented in drawing or painting is not necessary in order to enjoy the process – it is just another kind of activity to express yourself.
9. Arrange Your Room
Clear mind, clear place.
When your room is untidy, you tend to think the same. Arranging everything in your closet or cleaning the dust off your desk may bring instant relief.
10. Meet Up With a Friend and Sip Some Coffee
Get together with people.
It is always fun when you meet up with a good friend, grab some coffee and have a pleasant conversation with each other.
These easy tips will help you reduce stress, relax your eyes, and enjoy life to the fullest!
Conclusion
To sum up, the idea of having some time without any use of technology can be very beneficial for your well-being. Taking a break from all that you used to do before and spending time doing something that requires less attention of your brain is a really nice thing to do. It is natural that after some period, you will feel less stressed, have less anxiety, and will be more focused on everything around you. So try starting from today with one activity only!

So uh. I have a Raspberry Pi 5 running MX Linux now.
I barely even knew what Linux was before I got the Pi. I haven't touched my Windows machine for the past couple days. I've just been browsing the web and installing crap on my Pi.
And now it's ready to be my primary coding and writing machine. Which means I'm going to be using it even more.
Does this mean I'm officially a nerd now? As if I wasn't already.
