I am a spirit daughter of Almighty God—who is perfect in all things, including love, justice, mercy, knowledge, wisdom, and power—and believe that all other human beings are also spirit children of God, and are therefore of infinite worth and potential, just as I am.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a devoted follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I am madly in love with my darling husband.
I am a survivor of severe childhood abuse and neglect. I have suffered physical and mental disabilities since birth. I have struggled with ADHD, ASD, and DID, to name a few.
I am a writer.
I seek out truth, defend truth, and constantly question my own reasoning.
I believe in the nuclear family as the fundamental building block of a strong, free, and happy society.
I believe children deserve to be protected. I've experienced what happens when they are not.
I believe abuse and corruption have become far too commonplace and are, sadly, even celebrated in many circles.

~Why I chose each song:~
Sky: Obvious title aside, this song was made for Sky. You couldn’t get more perfect. It’s all about setting off on a new adventure, finding bravery but also wonder in a new realm, wide blue eyes, wings and flight, “a realm above the trees,” need I go on? It’s also got a gentleness and yet a power to the instruments that sounds like Sky to me.
Four: I had the most trouble finding Four’s song, but I think this fits him for Minish Cap and especially Four Swords. His adventures lead him to new friends (Ezlo, the Minish, the colorful versions of himself), and though the world tries to “tear them apart”, they are stronger together and get through whatever the challenge is! Oh and that “We’ll always be young at heart” line is great for him too ^u^
Time: The literal lyrics are less one-to-one but the theme of the song is 1,000% Time. “Tell me why I look back and I want to cry/Sometimes I feel like we grew up too fast… But it’s all right/Cause everything changes.” Ooooh! The song is all about the loss of childhood, about memories, and life changing as you get older. There’s even a lyric about “It isn’t my bedroom anymore” and that hits hard with Kokiri forest…
Wind: Aside from the ocean/beach theme and general upbeat nature of the song, the lyrics SO well represent Wind and his unwavering determination. This is the kid who chose to fulfill a legend rather than be explicitly born to do so, and had to learn how to be a hero on the fly. "Sink or Swim, diving in is the best way to learn/Kick up the sand 'cause your tan proves you lived through the burn/And when you wipe out it's gonna hurt/You can't stop the waves but you can learn how to surf" =)
Legend: LUCID DREAM! OK so this one was a sleeper, I didn't think of it as a Legend song until I thought: "I am a heavy dreamer" = Koholint. =) There's "when I wander away to some other place" where Legend has DEFINITELY wandered to many places outside Hyrule, many lyrics about impossible yet wondrous things... "heartache", "That black rabbit of death wakes up in a breath of beautiful dreams" ??? Legend all the way.
Hyrule: This is such a pleasant song, the epitome of "humble traveler" music. The bird in the song is simply looking for a new place to live, but doing so with experience and optimism, always looking forward and never back. He's happy with whatever shelter he gets but also loves the excitement of travel. "As far as I know, I am halfway home" and the acoustic, up-beat music really seem like Hyrule to me!
Twilight: The angsty song for the edgy Zelda game? I felt at first it might be too cliche, but boy does it work for Twilight after his adventure mourning Midna and everything that happened to his village (AND partially works for his "phobias and fears" concerning the Hero's Shade while in Time's midst!) And silhouette, Twilight Princess, c'mon it's right there =) His adventure fundamentally changed him, and he's not quite sure how to move forward sometimes.
Warriors: Oooh another sleeper! Cutting to the meat of it, “My captain on a snowy horse/ He's coming back to take me home… fighting back the terrible force / 'Cause I'm not afraid to die alone” is SO Warriors. In addition to being a captain, he, like many Links, is ready to face terrible odds and monsters alone and even die if it means protecting people. The whole song seems to describe the chaos of good vs evil and of war, even in the instrumentation. It’s great!
Wild: Hang on hang on don’t dismiss it just listen to the lyrics—This is SUCH a Breath of the Wild song. HUGE emphasis on exploring what you can see: “Life is a trip and the road map leads you/ Look all around at the mountains you haven’t climbed / It’s just a matter of time before we learn how to fly” (post-tutorial paraglider!) Also Wild’s high energy and new life in “Life is way to short to take it slow” to “Don’t close your eyes… your future’s ready to shine,” (open your eyes). AND There’s that need to find Zelda… “When can I see you again?” It’s a fun bouncy song that screams Wild to me ^u^
Thanks for reading/listening! (Seriously go listen to all the songs if you haven't I highly recommend them!)

Hanahaki disease is a psychosomatic illness. It's a thing that your body does in response to stress over constantly repressing/concealing your feelings in settings with high background magic. It's like you've been ignoring pain for a long time and suddenly your vision starts going dark, because your affected body is just YANKING on random alerts trying to get you to PAY ATTENTION there is a PROBLEM. Yes the flowers do really exist. So do non-magical psychosomatic symptoms. The flowers aren't special.
This does of course open up the trope to options for non-romantic concealed feelings. Which I think is great. There is something viscerally satisfying about the person who seems so outwardly chipper coughing and hacking and spitting up Depression Flowers so now everyone has to know they're hurting. Isn't there?
the other thing is that Neglect doesn't go away when people check on you. loneliness does. I think; as established, I have a hard time telling them apart. loneliness is another stage of human need; so when that's filled, loneliness can be healed.
you don't just cure Neglect with cuddles and some banana bread (though I will 1000% say that both are incredibly helpful & you should totally do those things still). Neglect is not "I need to belong." Neglect is "I need to survive & I can't on my own & I'm going to die."
why is trauma such a pervasive repeat-boss throughout this game can't it just. die already.
Some of you act like doing minor inconvenient acts of kindness is equivalent to donating a kidney as if it’s not those acts that form our communities and make the world go around.
Return your grocery cart. If you’re able-bodied offer your seat to someone who is not. Help your friend move. Drive your sister to the airport. Make sure drunk people have a safe ride or walk home. Pet-sit for your coworker. Participate in a meal train. Volunteer in your area. That’s what friendship and community is about.
the whole reason why they're so unnerving is BECAUSE there's nothing in them!! because they're unrelentingly liminal and lonely and uncomforting. there shouldn't be a monster guy in there chasing you. you should glimpse other humans (?) from a distance but they walk away before you can close the gap and then they're gone. things should run away from YOU. do u get it
"and there was a MONSTERowooowwohhhh" the monster is isolation and banal beige sameness and uncanny valley architecture. you fool. you rube. you're putting a hat on a hat and the second hat is not only unnecessary but it ruins the first hat!!!!!!! "there's a monster in there" great so now it's just another place for a monster to be. ridiculous
The idea of Sky being the Fierce Diety... or the spirit in the mask will NOT leave me alone. Like I can actually SEE him break dancing in my brain. Vividly. I kinda wanna draw him, but I'm in that "I HATE MY ARTSTYLE" phase rn 💔
