Lord Huron finds its next level

Judging by Lord Huron’s performance last night at Madison Square Garden, the Cosmic Selector tour finds the band a rung or two higher on its evolutionary ladder.

If you’ve seen one of these shows, you’ll know what I mean. And it's not just more razzle-dazzle; it’s a new level of performance. Like it or not, change is afoot and that genie isn’t going back in the bottle.

I was so enthralled by the spectacle - and the quality of the songs, of course - that the concert was all over before I realized I hadn’t snapped a single photo.

But don’t worry; I took some cellphone shots at sound check, where things are a little less formal.
