I don't know whether to laugh or cry. My partner wants us to have an open marriage because he wants to try out dating a friend of ours.

She's married, and her marriage is not open

She's been having marital troubles but is not doing any kind of therapy with her husband

Neither she nor he have ever been in any kind of non-monogamous relationship

I asked him how he saw the ground rules working and he very obviously had not thought about it and didn't know what reasonable ground rules would be

(He hasn't actually discussed this in practical terms with her, he just wants to try it out)

He did, however, think I wanted to date other people

I do not, he's enough goddamned work

SO MUCH WORK

I love him and we've been together for decades but childhood emotional abuse sure can be seriously damaging

One reason he wanted to try this was because he was tired of having to work out our issues with communication in couples therapy

He seems not to realize that non-monogamy is really for people who want to do therapy as a hobby

Like, the communication issues we have, they are not going to magically get better because he added another person to the dynamic

I also have a feeling the friend's husband is not going to like this

Nothing like a messy divorce to make non-monogamy more exciting

This is rather like watching a toddler run while carrying a lighted candle, in terms of both amusement value and also sheer terror for the chaos that is about to happen

FWIW, I don't have any fundamental issues with opening our marriage, I just think he has no idea how much more therapy this is going to require

Like, seriously, his great idea was that he, his girlfriend, her husband, and I would have a MEETING ONCE A WEEK to decide our schedule

I wonder if you can use Agile methods on relationships

Well, I tried my hand at making Yanderes. I came up with two ocs that are father and son. I will accept some head cannons for these two on first come first serve basis.They’re getting more details added within their bios.

I went with picrcew because of my lack of artistic skill,lol. Anyway, here are my Oc’s characters Dominic and Stefan.

He is a mix of variation of  yandere type, manipulation,aggressive, and delusional tendencies. He is not above trying to use his playful nature to mask his darker intention to bend his darling to his will, but he can be cunning if it comes down to it. Nothing is beneath or above him to make his darling see that he is truly theirs vice versa, as he doesn’t mind risking it all for the bigger payout. That being you, he will slowly slither his way into you like the snake he came to be, not the predator in terms of strength. When his venom sinks in, you’ll become addicted one way or another through the fatal mistake.

This is Stefan the father to Dominic, a fairly calm man with an underlying intensity he has for his darling.He has a few secrets along with his playful (sneaky a** son)  Here is his blurb of information here.

First, healthy relationship between himself and his son.He will help get plan out how Dominic gets his darling through any means if the conventional doesn’t work. While the loving son wants to see his dad happy, but get prepared for background checks on both ends.

Now this man is right here.I can’t even tell you how much I’d pray for anyone taking up his interests. Ex-FBI agent.[this will probably get changed.] He turned to a different avenue of work, though his most notable is taking the law into his own hands. A little less than legal suits him just fine. He covers this through running his private investigation service. He is a man who loves hard work though likes to find his time trying to challenge himself.  Stefan yandere type, Stefan is very unpredictable for his darling.   If I need to state it, I go with protective, aggressive, calculating, and possessive.

Stefan has a calm demeanor with a storm brewing underneath his charismatic personality. The man is protective, and possessive-aggressive with subtle hints of manipulation to what he does is the benefit of you both.He can flip like a switch when comes to getting his darling, or become a predator to show a more aggressive animalistic nature for his darling.

This is all on my yandere oc’s for now and let me know what you think of them. A first time giving this a try for a character like this though I do hope you all like them,

Context: Our half-orc paladin stumbled across a baby Giant. After our ranger loosely translated the baby/Giant speak, the baby was hungry.

Druid: I can cast purify food on the spider we just killed. That should be enough to feed a giant.

Half-orc: Yeah, we do that.

DM, grinning maliciously: While that would be enough to feed them, you idiots just showed a giant dead spider to a BABY. The baby begins to scream in terror.

Ranger: Oof

DM: And you hear pounding footsteps coming your way.

Druid: But a baby wouldn't necessarily be afraid of a spider-

Half-Orc: We gotta go guys. We gotta go. Mom's coming and for all we know we just killed their family dog.
