Niles loves you an incredible amount and knows you better than anyone else. He knows that the fact that you tend to be quiet around others, isn’t because you’re rude or that you don’t like them, it’s simply who you are.
Other people may not respond very well to you having a hard time expressing your feelings, but if they take it the wrong way then Niles will always stand up for you and defend you. Your feelings are the most important to him and he won’t let anybody hurt you♡
The same goes for you being quiet, he won’t let anyone walk over you just for that reason.
Though, sometimes he wonders what goes on in your head, the fact that you’re always so quiet around others makes it so he doesn’t always know what you’re thinking.
Sometimes he wonders if he isn’t treating you good enough and that that is the reason why you’re quiet or that you’re afraid to say anything about it. He doesn’t want you to leave.
However, he loooves you so much, it doesn’t matter to him if you’re quiet or not or have difficulty expressing your feelings. As long as you’re you and you’re honest, he’ll love you, always.

A.N.- Sorry, this one is pretty short! I wasn’t really sure what position Niles would hold so I wasn’t super detailed in this one. So sorry!
Niles would be an assistant to Leo. Whatever Leo wants to be done, Niles would do it. He is completely loyal and would do whatever Leo wants.
Many people would stay out of Niles's way. The eye-patch he wears catches attention but makes him look tough, causing people to steer clear.
Niles would happily accompany Leo to social events. Niles would serve as a sort of bodyguard or warning to other people not to cross Leo.
Niles would have a criminal record. He wouldn't do anything too serious; his worst crime would be theft.
Niles would be extremely physically fit. He works out constantly. He always wants to be in peak condition.
Niles would be pretty flashy with money. Leo pays him well, and Niles likes to have nice things.
He would buy a large house or apartment and fill it with expensive things. He wears nice suits to keep up with appearances.
Niles would be a bit of a player. He likes flirting, and one-night stands but never commits to a relationship.
Niles enjoys being above. He believes that the only person he really needs in his life is Leo because he owes him everything.
Leo hired Niles even after knowing his record, causing the loyalty Niles feels. He would continue to work for Leo for as long as he could. He would probably never settle down or get married.

Well, Niles isn’t exactly the most traditional of partners
He doesn’t show his affection the way many of the other princes and butlers and retainers you know do
It’s a lot more... Well
“(Y/n), you look absolutely ravishing my dear~ I promised you I don’t bite but... Ah, how you make it hard to resist~”
You roll your eyes at his comments, telling him if he’s not careful he’ll get some certain princes all protective and worked up
He chuckles at you, but he’ll cool the flirting when he can tell you mean it
Some people think he’s just a creep and don’t understand why you like him
But he really is much sweeter than he seems
He knows what it’s like to suffer, he understands loneliness well
So it’s no surprise that he’s prone to being a cuddle bug when he catches you feeling upset
You know he’d never let you tell the world about his softer side, but it really is incredible how much he can change in the quickest of moments
Truly, deep down, he doesn’t want anyone else to suffer the way he did
And that applies so much more strongly to someone he loves as much as you
He could never forgive himself if he let you slip into the same pain he had to go through
As much as he rolls his eyes about being soft... He can’t deny that he is very soft for you
Sometimes his comments will still be suggestive (“Oh, (Y/n), you look so exhausted, allow me to guide you to relaxation~”) but he really does care for you and want you to be happy
He’s so loyal, too
It’s rare for him to connect with people as deeply as he does with you, so he never wants to lose you
This will occasionally double how tightly he holds you when he gets affectionate
He isn’t typically one for snuggling, but if you insist long enough he’ll give in and lay down with you
His seduction may even switch tones for you
Comments about how he loves and cherishes you, how he longs to protect you, how precious your laugh is to him

“Let’s just relax tonight,” he said. “It’ll be fun,” he said. It’s impossible to say that Niles was wrong - his guided tour of the fun parts of town really was enjoyable, for sure, but now that it’s over there’s a deep wave of drowsiness settling over you. You’re about to tell him as much, but then he tugs you over, a peculiar kind of emotion present in his eye. It’s something different and you’re very sure you like it, so you push away the tiredness and continue the night.
The next thing you know, you’re back in your room. The familiar bed and sheets and atmosphere are broken up by a head of white hair, which brings a sleepy smile to your face. “Niles,” you say, and the man in question looks up. “Did I fall asleep?”
He hums a short note of agreement before the usual smirk appears on his face. “I thought you’d have a bit more stamina, we could have gone a few more rounds.”
You blink at him, half due to drowsiness and half from your confusion. “Niles, we practically went through half the city. That sounds pretty impressive to me, and I was the one who did it.”
He laughs. “That you did, that you did.” There’s a short pause as you collect your thoughts, trying to will away the fog of sleep as it continues to try and claim you. Niles yawns and stretches almost dramatically. “Well, I’d better get going,” he turns, ready to leave just like that when you reach out to grab his shirt.
“Sleep with me,” you demand, not even waiting for him to turn around. He laughs again, slow and deep as he removes your hand with his own, cradling it with a weird sort of care.
“As much as I’d like to spend the night with you,” he pauses for effect. You wait. “You need to sleep.”
“And you do too, so let’s sleep together.” You move over, making as much room as you can on the bed. Niles stares, contemplating the idea.
“Well…”
“Please?”
He sighs. “I suppose it wouldn’t hurt.” You smile at him and he chuckles again, like his own drowsiness has made everything a little bit funnier. Carefully, the two of you arrange yourselves on a bed that isn’t really made for two, but precarious squishing makes it work.
Closing your eyes leads to a quiet, for a while. The sound of Nile’s breathing is strangely comforting, making you very aware of him beside you. It’s… nice. Very nice. So nice that you could probably go to sleep right this very second but somehow you can’t. You sigh, the sound coming out as a partial yawn. It’s comfortable, but there’s something...
You open your eyelids, peeking at the Niles who lies just before them. His eye is closed like yours had been and he looks a little more peaceful like this, asleep. Or, maybe, not asleep, since he blinks and suddenly you’re staring at him and him at you. It’s quiet.
“...Can I hold your hand?” you venture, letting the strange thought float into the open. Niles looks at you, very still for a moment, before he laughs for what must be the millionth time.
“I figured you’d be braver than that, but sure,” he replies, and then your hand is warm. “Goodnight,” he says, and you repeat the sentiment as he closes his eye. You follow suit, but it’s hard to not focus on the warmth of your hand, as well as the warmth of your heart that follows it. As you finally drift off, you’re struck by how nice it is. Maybe every day could be like this if he wanted it as much as you did.
